I hear where you're coming from, but of course you want your conference to win.... Unless you want to see second rate teams in the playoff again next year.

You should want every SEC team to win their bowl games because it validates the strength of our conference.

I think of it as you would the Olympics or little league baseball. When it's games to see who goes you may have a favorite but once that's done then you want the USA to win. That's not a hard concept to grasp is it?

Have you ever heard the phrase: A rising tide (no pun intended) floats all ships...
The better the conference rep...the more it helps the rep of the individual schools in the conference. The SEC looked bad in the bowls last season and it clearly impacted the conference credibility.
As a side note...I think the conference pride thing is more important to the older fans and to the schools that have been in the conference from the beginning. No offense meant to the expansion SEC schools...but the old school SEC schools built this conference...and the conference reputation, and we are proud of it.
Cheer for us...don't cheer for us...I don't give a crap. But if you compete in the baddest conference in all of college football, be proud and stop trying to take it down.

None of the SEC "brand" teams is ever getting left out of the playoff as conference champs unless they have more losses than the other P5.
I guess the MS and Scars of the world should care, but it doesn't matter for the Big 6 schools. At all.

Dumb post is dumb.
The hate the S E C S E C S E C chant generates in B1G and PAC circles is priceless but that pales in comparison to the cold hard dollars SEC gets because of perception outside the footprint. SECN works because folks tune in to watch more than 1 or 2 teams and this lifts all boats in the conference.
