My logic was that if AJ magically transported to College Station, he wouldn't have as good of a grasp of the offense as a second string guy that had already learned it. And Manziel technically spent a year under Sherman learning a really advanced West Coast offense. The single back concepts Saban uses are similar to Sumlin(he has run a single back coaching clinic for like a decade).
So one yr of scout team at TAMU and he's already got the Bama offense down pat lol?? Gold Jerry...GOLD!!

Broke it down? My knowledge of that pick hasn't changed since I watched the replay of it on the CBS broadcast as it returned from commercial break. There isn't that much to break down. AJ made a horrendously terrible throw.
...and yet you've pretty much based AJ's entire career off that throw in this thread.

Ole Miss - 2
LSU - 3
LA Tech - 1(ridiculous facemask bullshite)
Sam Houston State - 1
Mizzou - 1
Oklahoma - 1(Sooner magic)
...and with that long post, you conveniently tried to blame the intended receiver for for 6 of those INT's that Johnny threw lol.

My bad. Damn phone double posted. Thanx for pointing that out though.

I love how aggies defend JFF's interceptions and things like their kicker and what the score would've been had certain liability not been said liability. You win some you lose some.

I counted two, one in the LSU game, but I've never seen the replay, I remember from the stands it popped up in the air, as if it hit the back should pad, maybe it was a bit behind him, I'm not sure. And the Oklahoma one. Also the ref is blamed for the one against LA Tech. Where did you count six?

What? I've merely said that was a terrible throw. I still think AJ is great and the second or third best QB in the league. The SEC coaches, for instance, think he's third, I think he's possibly better than that?

What? Are you lacking context for my post? Do you have any idea what I was saying?

You could argue with a blind side of a barn in a hurricane laced with LSD and sharknadopus's flying around and shite, also you're blind as a wall.

AJ gets unfairly labeled as a game manager because of Bama's previous QBs. IMO.
Is he underrated? Maybe a bit. Depends on who you ask.
But if he leads this team to a championship this year. He will get the respect he deserves.

I'm not arguing. I'm dropping knowledge.

Underrated? NO.
Undervalued? Yes.
AJ gets plenty of respect from the national media and is well known across the college football landscape. 3rd Team PreSeason may not be ideal for a two time defending QB, but he just happens to play in a conference with the reigning Heisman and a guy that is about to shatter virtually all of the SEC passing records.
In the eyes of many, however, he is often seen as an interchangeable part that could be replaced by any breathing body. Which, IMO, is ludicrous. He may not be Andrew Luck or Peyton Manning, but take him off of Bama and they would be significantly weaker.

But didn't they have the best WR corps in the country, the best offensive line of all time, and the best running back stable in the country?

NO, no, and maybe. Not real sure what that has to do with AJ's ability. Should we assume Manziel was merely a product of having two first round tackles, two NFL caliber RBs, and a stacked WR corps?

I know our offensive line and WRs were both better than yours, yes, those things helped Manziel set almost every record imaginable.

CBSSports currently has him ranked number 47 and going in the second round. We will see.
That sounds about right. That being said, McCarron has a far better chance of succeeding as an NFL QB than Manziel does.
