State won't recruit very well under Mullen. They will always just be mediocre.

This, but they will always have above average coaching with Mullen there. Sadly, Ole Miss can recruit better than them, but Nutt is holding them back.. Ole Miss could be really good if they found the right coach (Not Malzahn)

we're already recruiting well- we are getting guys that fit our style...and after another good season this year, we will start to pull in a few more of the top guys

Yeah your right I would say State's style is not quite top 10.

actually- you are correct. State will never be a top 10 program. But under Mullen, we can be a consistent top 25 team that can have a special season from time to time.

Completely agree, I don't see them in the near future going undefeated or 1 loss but they could easily be a 2 or 3 loss SEC contender.

Ole Miss can't keep them on campus, their recruiting is about as worthless as Tubb's at the end of his career on the plains.

Thats bad luck. Recruiting is recruiting. When we beat you out on a prospect you wanted and he gets kicked off for whatever reason that doesnt mean that we are bad at recruiting, just bad luck. And dont give me the character evaluation bullshite, because if State didnt offer a kid that was kicked off of our team that just means he was too elite for them and Bama, LSU, Tenn, or Auburn offered.

It's not bad luck when it keeps happening and is really hurting your program. It's a coaching evaluation and/or discipline problem.

Same with Jackie at the end and Standsbury the last 5 years. Here and there is bad luck, constant attrition from supposedly good athletes is more than "bad luck"

Now there's a recruiting strategy I havent heard yet. Let's not offer good players so that we can avoid getting our feelings hurt when they don't sign with us.

Nutt's attrition rate is 74.6%. You have to have an attrition rate of at least 75% to sign 25 players each year.

More like, we're not going to waste our time on a player who will not come to state. Its pretty common
