love how Miss State gets little respect from their fellow teams. They may not have the history but this program is getting pretty darn good. They play really scrappy and i love that about them! I like their chances this season and i think a lot of these SEC powerhouses will be shocked at how good they are this season. I wouldnt bet against them winning the west after a surprise season.

OU has a lot of history and for the last few years has had a decent team. The biggest issue you guys face is the Big 12-2. You basically play Texas and sometimes A&M and OSU are halfway decent. Nebraska is the only decent team from the north, they have been down for a while and they aren't even in your conference any longer.

You have set yourselves up for getting to the BCSNC and then getting embarrassed due to lack of preparation. This is doubly so in years when Texas sucks, like last year. Did a team that barely beat Utah State, Air Force, Texas, Nebraska, and OSU and was beaten badly by A&M and Mizzou really belong in the Fiesta Bowl? Luckily you ended up playing one of the worst teams to EVER get a BCS bowl and STILL let them score 20 on you.

yes, seriously- we are at home on a Thursday night where the home team wins a majority of the time, we have a better offense than you, and you have Les Miles.

The head scratcher is SC being favored in Starkville right now

Does it bother you that an SEC school held your "best offense of all time" to 14 points?

Coonass.... Bundy.... I see you both expect to win the egg bowl by 20. Im welcoming an argument. I understand the intial instinct to expect this. But when you break down the two teams its obvious that State is better, but really just 1-2 players better. Lets start with the defense...

Its obvious that you will have a superior interior line. Just like its obvious that our DE's are better. I think we can both agree that our LB's are about even. I think its everyone immediate assumption that your secondary will be better, and I agree, but how much better? I give yall that advantage at saftey. Even though Jackson is a stud, we arent returning a lot of experience for the safety next to him. Yall have a stud too and return more experince there. But at corner I dont know how much better yall will be if any better. I know yall return experience there, but its not like you have any all sec corners. I think Sawyer and Pendelton are just as good as anyone you throw out. Maybe thats me being a homer, but only time will tell. So with that break down, that gives state the better defense, but only by one player. If we get someone to step up to be Jackson's counter part at safety then our defense isnt that much different.

On offense I think we're pretty even. You are better at the QB position and WR, while we are better at RB and OL. Theres not a big gap at any of the positions, which makes us very very even on offense.

I give us the edge in SP with the nations leading punter coming and back and second most accurate kicker in the SEC.

So as you see, with that break down, yall are just 1-2 players, not stars, just solid contributers, better than we are. That doesnt seem like 20 points better. But maybe my breakdown is very homerific. If it is please explain why. Looking forward to 10 more pages

I wouldn't bet the pre season lines. They're almost like pre season polls. Full of fail.

I think you are just being a homer- State is going to have a top 6 SEC defense- you guys will be 11th or 12th- thats just not a 1-2 player difference

Our DT's will be require them to be doubled because they are very good, thus making our DE's even better than they are.

You're DT's will be single blocked alot, thus negating some of the talent your DE's have. As well as making your interior run defense soft.

That's a huge difference in our defenses.

Offensively, I think you guys will have to deal with more SS's in the box this season until your QB's prove you can make some defenses pay. That will slow your run game down some.

Conversely, I think we see the SS's early, and get some really big plays out of it because of the way our passing game has improved due to finally having experienced, competent WR's and a QB that keeps getting better.

That's the 2 big differences I see in our teams

Well that best offense of all time was playing against a real defense in the national title game. Hell when Jordan Jefferson tries passing against Big 12-2 teams he even looks, dare I say, All-SEC caliber if not better.

Easy now. I'll take Vic (the warrior) Ballard and Ladarious Perkins & Relf over your two starters. OLine? You're assuming you'll be better because we lost our starting AA LT & starting C. I can understand your reason for thinking that, but I'll wait til I see some games before I'll believe it.

We've been shitty for 8 of the last 10 seasons- it's more about our program being incompetent than you being dominant

aGAIN, we just went through possibly our worst decade of football in our history. This isn't the same Miss State you have been playing the last 10 years

You guys may very well win again, but on our field, this game is a toss-up

Exactly- he needs to re-watch the Egg Bowl. The RB comparision is at worst a wash
