Thanks Weagle. If you can get at least one of those guys to step up then Duke will have a much bigger year. Not many teams can lock down both sides of the field.

Auburn won games with Marshalls legs...........Gus' HS system will fail when JJ encounters elite DBs unless he can run.

This point was phrased wrong. To say JJ will be the best QB in the SEC in 2015 would make more sense, and its hard to argue against imo. He did Arkansas just that good.

Gus:

"We build our offense around our quarterback's strength's," Malzahn said. "We adapt. At Tulsa, we had a QB who threw for 5,000 yards. The next one threw for 4,600 or 4,700. When we got here, Chris Todd broke the school record for TD passes. We adapt to our quarterback, and Sean White runs better than people think and Jeremy Johnson runs better than people think, too."

JJ started the first game against Arkansas, so technically he will have started as the opening day QB two seasons in a row. Also started a game his Freshman year.

Ask Arkie fans how JJ Played last year.

He did play well. That said, it was the first game of the season and our defense wasn't even in the same realm as it was at the end of the season, but it was his first game of the season too, so...

I agree with OP.

Will likely be the top QB in the SEC.

I think Auburn will, unfortunately, win the SEC. Johnson will have a big year. Gus is the best offensive coach in the conference, he'll put him in a position to succeed.

I know he didn't start last year but he could have started for any SEC team last year.

So he could start for ANY SEC team, yet he didn't start for the SEC team he played on that lost 5 games? Makes sense.

Kyle Allen's arm is better than Jeremy Johnson's.

Kyle Allen has a noodle arm. Johnson is boss, but Auburn doesn't have the horses on defense and the schedule is too tough. 9 wins for the Gus bus.

So where would you rank Kyle Allen's arm then. If you want to simply dismiss Aggie greatness that's fine, but providing context will always help your argument.

He should have started over NM in my opinion. But what is Gus gonna do, tell the senior QB that took you to the MNC the year before to go watch from the bench?

And let's not act like the offense was the reason AU lost 5 games last year (sans uga). They gave up 38,41,34,55 and 34 points in those losses.
