Didn't bama lose to mighty Louisiana- Monroe that year?

Yes, but everyone else cared a lot more than we did. First year, bad apples on team, talent wasn't up to snuff. We knew we would get better.

2nd, we did beat UT, who won the east that year 41-17

I was at the game, left in the 2nd half.

Typical, been nothing but Bama fans in the second half since 2007. Both home and away.

How would you know, you've only been a Bama fan since 2009

Would you consider a 9-3 regular season vast improvement?

That is what I am expecting and I would consider it a great step in the right direction for a team with only about 10-12 Seniors making an impact at all.

Ditto, that was my last fall in college and I went to Gainesville and T-town. Both those games had me ready to fire Fulmer even though we backdoored to Atlanta.

IMO, 9-3 is what y'all will need to continue your momentum.

Agreed.

I do think the staff would be able to sell 8-4 and a bowl win enough to keep recruiting strong and most of the fanbase happy going into 2016.

But 2016 would be a 10 win+ type prove it scenario.

But in general I do feel like 9-3 should be the target to give most TN fans really good feelings about the staff's ability moving forward.

What about 9-4 with a bowl win?

I think we can win 9 in the regular season, if we stay healthy.

Also I feel pretty good about our shot at 9-3.

Should win
BGSU
West Car.
North Tex
@UK
Vandy
SC

Should lose
@Bama

Toss Ups
Oklahoma
@UF
Arkansas
UGA
@Missouri

To go 9-3 all you have to do is win 3 of the 5 "toss ups" (3 are at home and 1 of them on the road is against a totally depleted team with a brand new staff) and not blow any of the easy wins.

IMO like I said about 8-4 with a bowl win would keep recruiting going and most of the fanbase happy. But, I think there would still be some questions about the staff's ability to "gameday coach". Now they could still answer those in 2016 when the roster should be in perfect shape, but 9-3 or better in 2015 and I think the staff will have silenced all the "they can't coach" critics.

With an impressive bowl win against a quality opponent, 9-4 should keep momentum in place.
I'm sure it'd keep you guys beating your chests.
