Since player safety is the concern, can UK say that Bama and others shouldn't be allowed to play because they are so much bigger and faster than it's players? That should be a bigger safety issue.
According to the way Bama and Arky fans think the rules should be made.

Kentucky could drop D1 football and replace it with "sprint" football so they could play Navy and the Ivy league clubs.

As well as Saban and Bret could go to the NFL since they have the rules like they want. Then Bama and Arky fans can watch them coach there and that style of Football.

I wonder if the extra TD Saban agreed to knock off this years Bama-Arky beatdown will be worth the extra ones he gets from OM, A&M, and Auburn. Poor Bret can't win for losing.

Saban agreed to run out the back of the end zone and let Arky "finally score" instead of taking that final mercy knee to end the game.

Huh? Yes, Calhoun is in favor of the change, too. He was like 150th in play per game last year. He's on the committee. All that is completely consistent with the fact that Bert talked to the committee, and that Bert lied to them. Again, almost none of the guys on the committee, except for Calhoun, work at major programs. Virtually all lower classification guys.

That tweet discounts everything Tuberville said earlier. Obviously it was discussed. So there's that. And this whole thread is based on unfounded info that "you heard" that no one else on the internet has heard? Well I heard you have the ghey so maybe I'll start a thread about that

Well since everyone but Saban, BB, Arky and Bama fans are happy with the way things are it would be easier for them to leave. Even if Gus left Bret and Saban would still be whining constantly about something else they want changed or isn't fair.

I can get the Bama fans blindly following Saban but Arky following Bret is pointless. It doesn't matter if the other team is running HUNH or not they are going to lose.

1. Air Force guy proposes this rule at AFCA rules committee meeting in January
2. Committee likes it
3. Bielema takes proposed rule to NCAA Rules Committee on behalf of AFCA Rules Committee in February
4. Saban tags along.
5. Here we are.

I'm not seeing any room for a lie. The Air Force coach brought it up and it was obviously discussed by the AFCA rules committee. If anyone lied, it's Tuberville. More likely, Tuberville just didn't pay attention to the goings on in the AFCA.

I don't think Bert can lift his belly up enough to put his shaft in anyone's mouth.

Sounds like you've put a lot of thought into this.

I have heard no reason to believe that the AFCA liked Calhoun's suggestion, even assuming he really did bring it up.

I know you're desperate for this rule to not go through, but what you're saying isn't logical. I highly doubt Bret would be stupid enough to propose a rule on behalf of a group that doesn't like the rule. He's not as stupid as you all would like to think. No multimillionaire coach is. But maybe you're right. If you're right then he'll no doubt be publicly removed from the committee by tomorrow and it'll make national news. If that doesn't happen then you're probably full of shite
