AU has had the talent it just doesn't show up on the field consistently. Multiple top 10 recruiting classes should result in at least finishing top 15-20 every season.
Ironically, most Auburn fans believed with the recruiting we had done we would be contending again in 2013 when we got uga and bama at home.

But Auburn fans told us Malzhan's offense was the future of football.

Lack of development on both sides of the ball.
We have to remember, since 2008, Auburn has had Paul Rhodes, Ted Roof, Brian Van Gorder, Ellis Johnson, Will Muschamp and Kevin Steele as defensive coordinators. That's a lot of turnover. On offense, Gus Malzahn's offense only performs well with a great athlete that has the ability to also pass.

Well if we still has muschamp I'm sure it would. Maybe Steele can get some consistency and have a good defesne. But the offense doesn't really hold the defense back that much

Less than two seasons ago it put 630 yards on Saban/Smart.

Clemson gives you the finger.

That has nothing to do with that style O not being able to play good D.

Please, explain to me how Auburn's all time winning percentage is going to keep them from finishing dead fricking last in the west for a second straight season.
You know why this is funny? Only one team in history has managed to finish dead last in the SEC West in consecutive years. Any guesses who that was?
Mississippi State
and Mississippi State has managed that feat twice
AND Mississippi State even managed to finish "dead fricking last" in the SEC West 4, FOUR, years in a row from 01-04

I call it like I see it and I am usually right about all things SEC. They gonna melt soon, watch and see.
Can't say I don't hope you're right about AU. But if you're "usually right about all things SEC" you're wasting valuable time on DR. You should be in Vegas.

You could say that and many do, but it has no basis. Plays per game stressing the defense? That holds no water because AU has never been more than middle of the pack. A shitty offense like we had last year and 2012 (which was a pro-style and not Gus) puts a lot more stress with a lot of 3-outs.

So, Auburn has being on drugs for 2 years going on 3. They haven't won shite. Fricking crackheads.

Aw man, we haven't won shite in 2 going on 3 years, how can I live with myself as a fan?
A lot easier than Mississippi State, that's how. Y'all haven't won shite in 74, going on 75 years

Save this thread Auburn fans so you can tell me I'm wrong later. I say this because I will NOT be wrong.
Auburn will lose at least 5 games this year. I have you at 7-5 and that might be pushing it. You will do no better than 7-5 unless you play a team that loses it's starting QB or some other crazy shite. 7-5 guys, mark that down right now.
Honestly, might get lucky to win 5 games. I am not sure how Miss St and Arky holds up. I think they are toss ups leaning to losses if Gus still has a brain fart with the offense again. Only the 3 cupcakes and possibly Vandy could be the 4 wins. If Clemson does not win by 17 or more then I will be amazed.

That's actually not true. You mean the QBs he recruited and signed a few years ago. Our 2 most recent signees and our next 2 commits are all dual threat QBs. I hope he's learned his lesson.

Gus has averaged over 430 yards per game against Saban/Smart during his 3 years as HC.
