there are a lot of Heismans like Charlie Ward and Tebow who couldn't make it in NFL. it is an overrated award, and it usually goes to a player on a stacked team, and often the best players are on mediocre teams and carry those teams.

My point is Clemson has had a lot of NFL players and great college fball players. Sammy Watkins didn't win a Heisman but he is as good as get at WR position.

If Auburn was in ACC, they wouldn't get as many good recruits. If Clemson was in SEC, we would get even more good recruits and we would win a lot of games.

Look at all the good players we've plucked out of Florida and Georgia in recent years despite being in the lowly ACC and our coach having never won a title or been a head coach prior to Clemson. So SEC membership would be crazy good for Clemson. lol I like the ACC though because you are always the underdog. America likes an underdog. :)

remember when you lost to SC and Florida two pretty bad teams. lol Florida coach got fired 1 game later but they looked like a title team against ya'll

I can live with losing to Gurley/Chubb team on the road first game of the season. lol most teams don't have two RBs like that.. somehow SC's defense wrapped them up last year though.

Yeah Cam plays for a really stacked team in the NFL and hasn't done anything worthwhile since he got there.

I hope that sometime in the future Clemson is allowed to join the SEC so you can see what it's like - let me be the first to congratulate you on your future mythical top recruiting classes and easy conference wins.

Clemson already has top recruiting classes.

Your assumption is if AUburn came to ACC , you would never lose. lol But you have 3 recent losses to ACC and never play most of the ACC teams.

my point isn't that Clemson would have easy games if moved to SEC. it is that we would have stacked teams and win a lot of games, which is opposite of your theory. Clemson could compete in SEC right now with the players we have, that we got, without being in the 'best' conference but rather the lowly sad ACC.

Clemson couldn't win the SEC even if it paid all the refs. I mean, lets be real. Even the Taj Boyd and Sammy Watkins team wouldn't have won the SEC and that team was good.

Most SEC schools have a game like this.

At least you will not go into overtime against them.

It's a joke that SEC schools schedule opponents like this and charge what they do for yearly ticket packages.

We routinely have one of the hardest OOCs in the conference so we don't mind playing these games to even things out.

you apparently don't look at the entire team, not very good on defense during those years. I think Clemson would do well in the SEC those years though. We had two wins over Auburn, 1 over UGA, 1 over LSU, etc.

All I am responding to is the dumping on Clemson for no reason by a UGA fan. HOw did out of all the schools in the country did he come up with Clemson as a team that beating does not help in the rankings? lol it was an absurd point but I've seen it on this forum a good bit. For some reason, Clemson always gets singled out on here, despite not playing SEC teams that often outside of SC.

only 3 I believe, all to SC.

call me crazy but I think beating a ranked team OOC is always a good thing. Ask Baylor about that. lol

u will never see a Clemson fan wanting to play a cupcake vs a ranked team OOC. lol that's why Auburn had to schedule Clemson again b/c other OOC teams don't want to play at Auburn, scared to lose. it is all about doing the minimum required to sneak into the playoffs for some teams.

I would like to see the NCAA be able to schedule P5 OOC games for teams so we can get a better understanding of how good conferences are in relation to each other each season.

We're talking during Taj's years? Looked it up. All three to USCe but dam that WVU loss still looks terrible.

Keep in mind that one of those wins you keep harping on against Auburn was in 2012 when we couldn't play our way out of a paper bag, and the other was your Tahj Boyd Sammy Watkins team that you claim would've easily dominated the entire SEC against an equally falling apart Auburn team with no qb.

That LSU game was a bowl win by one point which led to your first 11 win season since 1981.

Your last win against UGA was by 3 points in a bowl, before that Clemson's last win was in 1990. And please go ahead and disregard the beating Gurley single-handedly gave your guys last season since it doesn't fit your point.

you are proving my point, Taj years didn't have the defense needed. but that WV scored a lot on a lot of teams, probably 2nd in the country on offense that year. most SEC teams don't run a high flying offense like that

I cud go all day about all the close losses to SEC teams by Clemson. we lost to Auburn with CAM by 3 in overtime, after leading that game 17-0, and that was with the QB prior to BOyd that nobody remembers. lol

nobody makes excuses for us when we have a bad season either.

that Clemson-LSU game may be the game of the century. Boyd to Hopkins 4th and 16 pass was a clutch as u will see

reality is Auburn is 7-7 against ACC in modern era. should be 14-0, 13-1, 12-2, given the rhetoric about the ACC on here by Auburn peeps

are you the guy who was gushing over Athens as basically the greatest place on earth, and no other college town can compete with it? Lol

nobody can explain how it is logical to argue that playing and beating a ranked Clemson team won't help any.

Georgia and Clemson have played each other 64 times. Clemson has won 18 of those games, 28%. It's fricking embarrassing to be frank.

You don't get to have it both ways. If SEC teams start out over rated but finish ranked better at the end of the season (after playing three acc teams like we did) then something doesn't add up.

Clemson is a complete joke to everyone in the SEC not named South Carolina. We have nothing to gain by playing you and I'd rather see the Dawgs face off with a legitimate program.
