I'll admit I was baffled by Bama being in the top 4

However, I'm more baffled by the uproar of the LSU fans about it. It's been hilarious. Thanks for the laughs.

Florida, be sure to wipe the LSU slobber off your dick and share it with Baylor and TCU.... It's the only fair thing to do.

Us coonasses try to fight all the injustices in the world. When we see a neighbor getting robbed , Florida in this case, we help that neighbor as much as we can. Plus we like to bitch, it's definetly in our culture.

It is obvious LSU fans are scared shitless. They are already pondering what the rankings will be after they lose to Alabama.

he said (not happening)

If we beat LSU this weekend and Clemson loses to FSU, we are in the playoffs no matter what happens (we will be # 1 next week) as long as we win out. Even if Ole Miss wins out, we aint dropping out with wins over LSU, and Miss St. away.

We could even pull for Ole Miss to win out.

I will thoroughly enjoy a closing stretch of the season where Bama is entirely irrelevant. I hope you guys enjoy your last few days in the sun. At least the committee gave you that on your way out.

I'm fine with Bama at 4. They deserve it. I do think Florida got screwed with their ranking but in no way are they out of the race if they win out.

Same here. I expected Bama to ranked right around #6. But, who really cares? I mean, other than LSU fans, who are two spots ahead of us and have nothing to worry about, of course.

I was pretty surprised as well. In the end it doesn't matter much, we are in the same position as we were in last week. Win out and we have a great shot, although no guarantee, to get in.

Nobody got screwed. Everyone in discussion for a spot that has 1 or less losses just needs to keep winning it will take care of itself.

LSU has the better team this year and it may not be close. End of discussion.

Its the first week of rankings and they mean nothing. After this week AL or LSU will not be in the running any longer- the loser can win out but will not make the final four

I think the committee looked hard at SOS. That dings Baylor, TCU and the like- you need to play somebody to just anybody

It appears you're having this discussion all by yourself. This is a thread discussing all the angst about Bama being ranked #4.

I don't think people are upset about Alabama, specifically. If they beat LSU on Saturday, they deserve to be in the Top 4, and if they lose, then they won't be in the Top 4 any longer.

I think what people are most upset about is this goddamn selection committee. These rankings make no goddamn sense. Last year, you could justify OSU jumping ahead of Baylor/TCU in hindsight because they won the whole thing. But this new system just reeks of subjectivity and bias.

I mean, really.... Notre Dame at No. 5? Really....?

LSU will still be there with a loss, although they will need help with a disastrous November for lots of other teams (but we have seen that happen quite a lot in the last 10 years)

LSU fans are, maybe not the teams in other conferences.

I lost all respect last night just reading this board. Roll Tide this weekend.

The committee really played their cards incorrectly. They should have put A around 6/7 and then moved them up if they beat LSU to the top 4. They would have avoided a lot of criticism doing so.
