I would have to agree with this. Getting a Biomedical Engineering undergrad degree is one of the best avenues to med school.
Not that it gives you a better chance of getting in, as they only really care about your Prerequisites, GPA, and Test Scores. It is, however, a great degree to have if Med School doesn't work out, or life happens and gets in the way.
I'm not even familiar with what type of jobs one could get with a Bachelor's in Pre-Med (maybe lab tech?). But Biomedical Engineering is one of the fastest growing industries out there right now.

I'd have to really look in the mirror and question my competency as a parent of those were the two options available for my kid.
