BTW, my list of games I would change are:

1. 1988 AU vs LSU (AU would have crushed Lou Holtz and ND in the Sugar and been undefeated NC).
2. 2007 AU vs LSU (loss drove me crazy. I think the refs tried hard to frick us and we should have won anyway).
3. 1985 AU vs Bama (Tiffen kick)

1983 AU vs Texas doesn't bother me that much. We were better than Texas at the end of the year and still won the NC. A few dumbass AP voters that didn't know the difference between their arse and a hole in the ground that year got it wrong, but most of the selectors still named AU NC in '83.

Was that the last one played in Birmingham?

No. First one in Auburn. After AU had to threaten to take bama to court to get them to play in AU.

Still have my ticket stub (Section 9, Row 48, Seat 11) and game program from that day. Also the largest and craziest Tiger Walk AU has ever seen.

My ATM "associates" argued that ATM was playin the best football at that time / they would have beaten Florida had they played La Tech the week before.

You need new associates? Coulda woulda nonsense. Feel free to tell 'em I said so. It may even be true; doesn't matter. Nobody gets do-overs... well, except Alabama :-)
