Nope, his grandfather and cousins played in the SEC. His other uncle played in the ACC. Just would prefer SEC to ACC. If Bama had Lacrosse that would have been his first choice so he could be near all his cousins. If he stayed in the east then USC and UGA would have been in the drivers seat.

If it makes you feel better, ACC lacrosse is probably the most dominant conference in any single sport in college athletics. All 6 teams finished the regular season in the top 10, and three will likely be in the final four. UVA, Syracuse, and Duke have all won several recent national championships. Maryland, UNC, and ND are also very powerful programs.
That's hardly a bad deal to get recruited into.
