It was decidedly unlucky we even had to score that last TD.

Firstly: this is pure horse tripe and dishonest. Auburn let UGA back into the game after soundly whipping my Dawgs for three quarters of football and laid down like bitches.

Secondly you won the game by waking up from that stupor or funk you were in when we were driving down for the winning TD sacking Murray and saving grace.

You did the exact same thing in the MNC but, FSU was a little too good for that playing possum shite and burned your ugly blue and orange asses.

End of story.

Tiger n Miami, when you jump right to a ref comment for an argument you are not educating anyone. There is nothing wrong with knowing you got some lucky bounces and admitting it. Some times lucky bounces is what gets you a natty title - think back to the title games over two decades ago with Florida State and missed field goals.

You mad. Suck it.

Second, the bad call was the only reason we had to score that last TD that some refer to as lucky. Right call, play does not happen in the first place.

Doesn't matter though. AU beat UGA and that is that.

That's what is great about college football ... AU's run to the championship game is why hope springs eternal on the gridiron for the MSU's and UK's of the conference... Some day even they might get to hang a National championship banner in their stadium.

Why would I be mad? I have no dog in arguments between SEC fans/teams.

I am not arguing lucky bounces or whatever are not part of winning.

What I am saying is last year's AU team had its share of bad luck as well.

Already covered UGA. Nothing lucky about the bama win.

I could add a LOT more about the FSU game. Along with the KO return, the fake punt in the second quarter, the terrible holding call on the pass that took us to around the FSU 15 in the third quarter and probably cost us a TD that would have likely ended it, the throw just off Lewis's fingertips in the first Q when he could have walked in for a TD, the Mason fumble, the missed FG that Parkey almost always makes early, etc. FSU had to have everything go right to win that game.

Then there is the LSU game. A close call on the onsides kick for us when we recovered the ball and were only down 7 could have changed that game.

Anyone saying we could have easily had 2-3 losses last year has to be able to see the flip side which is we get two breaks on questionable or unusual plays, we are 14-0 last year.

Us losing to FSU is not good news for our opponents this year though. We will be a better team. We will probably have our best offense ever. We will be extremely hungry and focused this coming year.

I disagree, Auburn will have a letdown season like in 2011. The Utah State game comes to mind.

We will see. I think Arky is going to walk into a buzzsaw to start the season. I expect AU to win by 3-4 tds.

In 2011 AU had to replace Cam and the entire OL. On Defense they had to replace Nick Fairley and both LB and two in the secondary. It was a letdown year because of a drop in talent. That does not happen this year.

On paper who on AU schedule has gotten better than last year ? I would say the only team that looks like they will be much better than last year would be Miss St, most of the rest have to deal with a new QB.

Arkansas, obviously. And you have to play us in game one. Not a great draw for Auburn, we will come in hungry.

Literally every team in the SEC could name off games they lost because of bad calls. You aren't "educating" anyone. Only Auburn won games off of a walk off missed field goal return and the most improbable bounce in history. Auburn was the luckiest team in the country last year and you're a dumbass if you think otherwise.

arkansas has a new DC, and several new faces on the staff... the long run that's probably a good thing, but not for Game 1 on the road against a very good and experienced offense.

i think it'll be a tough one, just like last year... thinking 7 to 10 point win for auburn. Arkansas will be better, no doubt.

You're the only dumbass if you attribute AUs success to luck lastyear.

Go ahead though. I suggest you start working on excuses for this year as well. You will need them after we embarrass the piglets in week one.

I think most football fans and Saban knew that AU would more than likely win in OT. At that point, Bama's Defense was on O2. In the UGA game, you do not expect to lose a game when you are up 20 points with 12 min to go in the 4th.
