No I personally would go back to what worked for me. Flask.

But not everyone has the bladder of a 12 year old girl lol

I think the money made on beer sales would cement it and it would stay. I can't imagine a huge behavior change.

^^This. I don't even want to think about rivalry games. Imagine the UT-UF game with alcohol available at the stadium. The results would be absolutely terrible behavior in the stands above and beyond the terrible behavior we've already seen from the knuckle-draggers of each fanbase.

I'd bet large they did a good job. I myself miss the trough urinals in the men's bathrooms. Quickest way to get in and out of a bathroom ever made.

This is my thinking as well. I'd imagine that -any- change in behavior would be temporary, and would probably fade away as fan bases got used to it being available.

Most of the poor behavior I've witnessed at sec games has been from fans of the same team
We sit in club level and have a liquor locker, but if beer were available I think it would do well. I don't think it would effect behavior much in oxford. Like someone ready said, by the time people get to the stadium, they are already drunk.

This thread is already begging for spinoff threads...do you think beer sales would affect visiting sections more than the home crowds? Should stadiums allow flasks in order to make money off them? When should the alcohol sales cutoff...fourth quarter or mid-third?

So many factors to consider...

At most schools, I don't think it would make a difference. They already serve booze in the suits. And the students already sneak in a lot.

Most fans at these games are college educated, with the exception of Alabama, so they would be less inclined to brawl at a game like the rough necks you see at NFL games. Except at Alabama.

Most lsu fans are lit going in, but I've never been able to get through a game without sobering up. Selling beer might help extend that.

That's your own fault for not bringing in whiskey

They did!!!! There is more of them and they're all bigger on the east and south.

I can;t speak for the north (don't think it changed) and I can only assume they get it right for the west.

How do you get that? If anything it would lessen how drunk people are because they wouldn't have to over consume in order to maintain a buzz all game.

Seriously? All of the unique, cool, crazy things about Louisiana, and the fact that they prefer liquor is the only thing you respect about them? I guess that may explain why I was so incredibly miserable in Spring,TX the last few months. You SE/E Texas are some strange frickers.

The thing I respect about Aggies, is that they can live in that miserable, boring, packed part of the country, and not have an equivalent suicide rate as Seattle. A couple more months in that hell hole known Houston, and I'd have started wearing all black and listening to Marilyn Manson.

Although, I did love Houston's per diem rate, even if the gsa keeps lowering it.

I gave up my season tickets because I was tired of having beer and alcohol spilled all over me from idiots who brought it in and started acting like juveniles. Can only imagine how worse it would be if they sold it.

What about the smell? That has to be a consideration right? It's different having spilt beer all over the place where it's 30-50 degrees out, but down here where over half our games are 85- 90 degrees. Sec stadiums will be pretty rank in no time.
