but if Saban is named the AD

I don't think Saban is cut out for that position, nor do I think he would want it.

He currently likes to dabble in other sports at UA. He helped secure Grant as HC. He helps recruit other UA sports as well. I'm not so sure he'd be cut out for the fundraising/hand shaking that an AD needs to do. His personality is not condusive to being friendly and asking for donations.

It would also be a disaster for the next football coach to have Saban hanging around the Athletic Complex.
I agree with this 100%. I damn sure would not want him walking around the football complex and judging everything I did as HC.

Oh man Dabo would be a dumpster fire

Dabo's M.O is "Us against the world"...."Nobody thinks little ole us can succeed, let's show 'em". He jumps around and cheers and hollers and chest bumps guys.

That wouldn't work at Alabama. It sounds more like an Auburn thing if you ask me.

Bama is a top 5 job in the country, regardless of the tard portion of the fanbase. I think Kirby Smart or Will Muschamp would be 2 of the top candidates.

No thanks.

It's a crapshoot for the most part

That's for sure, Saban (to LSU) was, CLM was. The only time it's not is when the was a very successful HC somewhere else. Urban did very well everywhere he went so was a shoo in at UF and is a shoo in at OSU.But there are not that many Urban's running around.

I think the jury is still out on Boom. Urbs left a dumpster fire at UF. I don't see how you would want Kirby over Boom at this point. Maybe he proves to be better in the future, but it's too early to tell.

Well the minute Saban utters "I will not be the head football coach at ___________ " we all know the run is over at Bama lol

Because of this ^^, Dabo would not bring the buisness like approach and arrogance that has become norm at Bama.

Maybe Joey Jones in a few years if he is still doing well at South Alabama. IDK just throwing it out there, he is a former Bama player.

Maybe Boom turns out to be a good one, we'll have he wait & see.

My first impression of his coaching was not so good. When he allowed Charlie to sit his fat arse on a cooler on the sidelines, instead of doing his job, showing motivation & energy during the game, that just turned me off intitially. But, I agree WM has quite a hurdle to jump to get FLA back to the top.

Remember Saban's first OC at Alabama? Major Applewhite wasn't exactly the best coaching hire in history.

Hard to coach both Tennessee and Alabama.

I think they may try to get another NFL guy. I'm thinking Jim Harbaugh.

Harbaugh will be at SF for a while I would think. Why would he step back down to the CFB level?

I think the only way Smart gets a look is if he's been gone a few years and having success as head coach at a mid level program, Muschamp may get a call but I don't know if he would leave Florida for Alabama...most would consider it a lateral move unless he's unhappy there, his coaching philosophy would fit better in Tuscaloosa though
