Of the last 10 QBs selected #1 overall, only Vick and Stafford had under 60% completions as starting QBs...

Until he decided to get injured against Dallas

Wilson = Vick 2.5
If Wilson got me offered the same players I was offered for Vick, I'd trade him in a heartbeat.
Assuming I have Rivers still, which ironically is from NCSU also...

Top returning QBs based on last years passing stats
1.Garcia
2.Bray
3.Relf
4.Brantley
5.Jefferson
And he's not significantly better than any of them.
But hey, I hope Bama goes out and gets Bryant Moniz from Hawaii, his stats are the best in the nation, so he has to be the best in the SEC.
Is this a serious statement? If so, please give me a moment to laugh hysterically before addressing it.
Ok I’m back, much better. You actually think a guy in Garcia who’s nothing but a drunken punk of a QB is better than Wilson? There’s not a more inconsistent player in the conference and he’s got the best player in the league at both WR and RB; kid is a scrub. You think a true freshmen in Bray is better than Wilson? Wilson would probably agree to play with ten offensive players instead of eleven if it meant he got one of Bray’s WRs. Relf has got to be some sort of a joke. It’s painful to even address that. Brantley and Jefferson? Now I’m done considering anything you’ve said.
Couple things:
-I live in South Carolina and as such watch quite a bit of ACC football. I’ll base everything I say off of not only stats but also having seen Wilson play 10+ times including 4 in person (twice against Clemson, once against UNC and once against VT).
-Upon joining the SEC, Wilson would easily have the quickest release of any QB in the conference and it wouldn’t be close, and his arm strength would be comparable to Murray and Tyler.
-It’s hard to describe how bad North Carolina State’s skill positions were last year. They had Mustafa Greene who emerged late and is a helluva RB, but their WRs are simply embarrassing; borderline non-scholarship worthy. He’s never once played with anyone who’s got elite skill.
-Those who are spouting off his career rushing average in an attempt to diminish his running ability are doing exactly what you said, spouting off stats without ever having watched him play. Let me break it down for you why he has such a low rushing average. The NCAA for some idiotic reason still doesn’t distinguish between sacks and rushing yardage so every time Wilson is sacked those are recorded as negative rushing yards. Now I’ll list to you how many times Wilson has been sacked in his career:
-2008: 25 times
-2009: 30 times
-2010: 39 times
-Wilson has never played with a single elite skill player, and he’s never had anything even close to an offensive line to protect him. If you don’t think he’d easily be the top QB in the SEC, then MAYBE I can buy that because Murray and Tyler are solid. If you don’t think he’d be absolutely a top 3 QB in the SEC then you deserve to be checked into a clinic, and your response doesn’t deserve comment.

I don't think I ever offered you for Vick, I was content with Orton until he killed me last 4 weeks of season.

You didn't, but tuck and a few others did.
I think he was one of the few players that you never did come after
I'm ready for another go this year, I'm gonna win

I am preparing myself, watching game film from last year, studying playbooks, and meeting the rooks. I got my sleeper list, my bust list, my break out list, and I am prepared.

Well, I just hired Bill Parcells to be my Senior Advisor.
He's never wrong, at least that's what I gather from the way he talks...

I hired Bell Belichick and he already told me to trade out of the first round and pick up some extra picks in rounds 3-4.

He's just gonna make you keep trading them every year
Although I registered as AL Davis in the FF league, so I feel the urge to trade you everything for a 2nd rounder...

I'll draft Heyward-Bey in the first and trade him to you for your first/second/and third round choices

I'll accept, but only if I include a 2012 1st round FF pick too...

Well considering some people are claiming he'd be the best in the SEC, I'm gonna hold him to an elite caliber level...

but see that's the thing. The SEC, at this point, lacks an elite caliber player at QB right now.

And even then, I don't see Wilson as potentially the best QB in the conference...
