Why have multiple SEC schools contacted him if he is so terrible and not good enough to play in the conference.. argue with them not me

Some SEC schools are desperate for a band-aid QB this season.

Spurrier doesn't want him. We got Charlie Sheen bitches!!!

FWIW, I would still rather have Garcia over Wilson any day.

he'd have to be considered in the top 2-3?

Just because he'd be a band-aid doesn't mean he couldn't still be the best in the league. Not exactly a deep pool you're pulling from. Cam was a band-aid and also the best in the SEC.

And Masoli was a bandaid, and he wasn't the best in the SEC. Newton was a stud out of HS, he didn't become one overnight, you could see it.

Wilson is being touted for stats, not ability. Almost everyone in this thread is basing he'd be great based off stats and 1 game they saw while nothing else better was on TV.

I guess I'm kind of confused on what the argument is.

My argument is, Wilson would not being an impact player for a team. He's not a "final piece" type player for anyone in the SEC...

He's a undersized QB

He is 5'11" to 6' depending on what site you use this isn't the NFL where you need to be 6'3" and 230 pounds

bad career completion percentage
58.4 and 59.3 are bad completion percentages? McNabb is a career 58.4% in the NFL which isn't bad....

hasn't won a conference championship
He plays for NC State... if he was at VT/Florida State he may have... but Mallet never won a conference championship

made his team wait for his while he attempts to play baseball.
It would for LSU and Matt Mauck so lets repeat and he can come to LSU

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this. If the guy was getting onto campus in January, I think he'd start for every team with the exception of Arky, Tenn and UGA.

Height matters at any level for a QB, I'd love to see him take snaps under center, then trying to pass through 6-5 and taller lineman that are o so prevalent in the SEC.

Yes they are, anything less than 60 is considered below average for a QB.

But he doesn't and didn't, he never even got them to one.

He doesn't have the physical tools of a Ryan Mallett either.

And he's not significantly better than any of them.

But hey, I hope Bama goes out and gets Bryant Moniz from Hawaii, his stats are the best in the nation, so he has to be the best in the SEC.

Not as much in the college level since teams roll out and run from the spread more.
2 of Top 10 NCAA QB's last year were 6' and under. 4 of the top 20 were 6' and under.

Yes they are, anything less than 60 is considered below average for a QB.

Only 59 QB's managed that magically 60% last season in the NCAA, sadly out of that 59 it includes back outs as long as they attempted 175 passes.

Playing for NC State is like playing for Kentucky... the talent surrounding the player is below par for the conference so things need to break right and certain players (like Wilson) need to outgrow their star rankings.
