Les is still going to be the head coach, right? LSU's offense will look very similar no matter who the OC is. It's the same with Saban and Alabama.

Guys, I'm gonna say this one more time. Please read slowly. Let it sink in. Let is resonate. The LSU offense has changed multiple times under Les Miles. This style offense from 2012 was actually different than 2011. I don't know how hard that is to see?

And Bamas offense even changed this year. Yall were in shotgun A LOT this year.

Cam Cameron isn't very imaginative - I wouldn't see many changes if you were to actually hire him.

“He was huge. Cam was huge in my career. I was with him for four years. He was the offensive coordinator while I was in San Diego for those last four years. That was a time in my career where during that stretch I got benched three or four times, they ended up drafting Philip Rivers. Cam was pretty much the one who broke the news to me. My postseason exit meeting with him after the ’03 season I went in his office, shut the door and (he said) I’m just telling you they’re either going to go out and get a free agent veteran quarterback to come in here or they’re going to draft a rookie high to compete with you. Just get ready for that. I feel like he was always very honest with me. He always did things to try to get the best out of me. There was a time or two where we would butt heads, but I think that was all part of the process of him trying to mold me into the type of quarterback he knew I could be, the type of person he knew I could be, leader and I appreciate him for that. I love the man. I think he’s a great coach and obviously I had a lot of great years with him.”

I believe he was a horrendous head coach of the Miami Dolphins is that correct? I get him mixed up with Saban.

I don't think that would be a great hire. The Ravens didn't look like Super Bowl contenders until after he was fired.

So at 9-2 they didn't look like SB contenders? GMAFB.

They lost two straight games after that start and Cameron mouthed off to Harbaugh about getting conservative in front of players at halftime. He had to go because Harbaugh had to keep the locker-room or else he was gone as well.

I read some interesting analysis of Ray Rice-along with all NFL RB's-through 10 games the year before last. The stats show he was one of the least successful and least productive tailbacks in the game. Which makes it easy to see why he was being phased back.

Flacco himself said they were transitioning away from not only a defensive-minded squad but a running-oriented attack on offense as well, and this was just yesterday.

Please drop some more manna from heaven.

Malcolm "Cam" Cameron (born February 6, 1961) is an American football coach. He was most recently the offensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL. He was previously head coach of the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League.

Yep that's him alright.

The interesting thing about Les Miles' reputation is how it has changed over the last decade. At Ok State and for the first few years at LSU he was not regarded as the "pound the rock" guy he is now considered to have always been

What Les did a decade ago in a different league isn't very relevant. What he's done at LSU is, and he's always been a "pound the rock" guy.

Regardless of OC,without better QBs the OC will look bad.Mett is horrible away from home and has no mobility or pocket presence. You band geeks love blaming the OC. See how Fisher,Crowton and Stud have been crucified by the band geeks.
How can guys who have never even played hs football know so much?

JJ has made 3 OCs look bad!

WTF? Fisher? Huh? WTF crucified him? Are you taking crazy pills?

Dude averaged-I'll say it again-averaged more than 28 ppg in SEC play against SEC opponents. That's not the ULL's & Jacksonville State's of the world (sorry, Ole Miss fans). That's 28 ppg against other SEC members.

No one is crucifying him. You also sound like a band-geek banged your wife and you paid child support on it for a year before realizing it wasn't yours.

We've used the shotgun and the pistol and the wildcat (which we've gotten away from thankfully) ever since McElwain. We used the shotgun a lot this year too, I don't really know if it was more than in the past few seasons. Even if it was, using a formation more doesn't mean a change in philosophy at all.

Fisher was crucified for his bubble screen =see Rant posts in '06 and '07.

Poor QB play limits what a QC can do. See JJ's inability to read coverages or throw accurate passes. See Metts inability to move allowing DEs to take wide routes to him knowing he could not tuck the ball and run.

GFunk,my wife never dated a band geek. Band geeks never get hot women. Those band unis are not very masculine.

Good hire. Will see how it plays out. I would give it a 7 right now.

I think it would be an upgrade but not a home run.

On the one hand he clearly knows how to develop quarterback talent and Miles trusts him so hopefully he could make the tweaks that need to be made.

On the other hand it's hard to look at how he went out in Baltimore and feel good about it.
