We don't play many high powered/pass heavy O's in the SEC thankfully.

Well we play A&M, Ole Miss, and Auburn in the SECW and they will all have high powered offenses.

We need to rest our defense more. Imagine if we had been able to do that the last few years? Our poor defense has to be on the field so damn much.

Lack of crimson A's in this thread is curious.

I came in here looking to see what other fan bases thought but clearly this thread has morphed into a posi vs negatigers thread.

Anyway, it would be a huge upgrade from stud but Les would have to let Cameron run the offense.

aTm is the only one I'm concerned with there. Ole Miss, maybe. but I still think we're good enough on D to pull through that one and AU.

He has a very dull and boring offensive philosophy, so he'd fit right in with Les. I'm not sure I'd hire him. He's an NFL coach and would jump right back to it the first chance he got, so you never know when you'd be looking for a new OC again and you don't know how much you could trust his loyalty to being at LSU. Who knows what kind of recruiter he is or how he'd relate to the college athlete either.

Exactly, as long as Les is there the LSU offense will put you to sleep.

I can't imagine many Alabama fans (or fans from other schools for that matter) really care who LSU's OC is. There's a reason this thread morphed into a mini Tiger Rant thread of posi-tigers and nega-tigers.

He's been a college head coach, hoss. I'm pretty sure he knows the college game and the "college athlete"

2009 & 2010 are the only years in which LSU wasn't in the top half of the conference in TOP. Looks like that excuse doesn't hold water.

Could have and should have been #1 or #2. And what excuse? Who needs an excuse for our defense? It's been awesome. I am just imagining them with more rest.

Really? I care very much who is calling the plays for teams we play every year.

Exactly. It's no different than following teams we play in recruiting. You want to know what you're up against.
