I don't think CLM will get rid of Stud or Kragthorpe despite this hire. Krags would handle QBs and Stud would go back to OL

Check mate if it happens!

not possible.

NCAA Article 11: Conduct and Employment of Athletics Personnel: 11.7.2 Football Bowl Subdivision - There shall be a limit of one head coach, nine assistant coaches and two graduate assistant coaches who may be employed by an institution in bowl subdivision football.

coaching limits

LSU is at 9 assistant coaches already so someone must be dumped if we hire cam. we can move krags to a new role in the ad since cam is an oc and stud just moves back to oline.

Lol get your head out of the sand. Offense hasn't changed much/if at all since Les became HC.

Lol no. You don't know your head from your arse when it comes to talking about LSU football. You're taking the same tired meme from the Rantards and running with it. The latter half of Miles' tenure here has been conservative and unimaginative offense. The former was not, nor were his offenses at OSU. Believe it or not, at one point Les oversaw the most prolific offense in LSU history. He went ultra-conservative when we didn't have good QBs and didn't have coordinators he could trust, and he won a lot of games doing it. Because of that he has been reticent to change, but last year reached the tipping point.

Someone else with P&G blinders. Shocker.

I'm not even a Les homer. But you clearly don't know much about offenses if you honestly think our O has been the same.

he did and i was fine with the sudden move in 11 because it was a tough time for something like what happened to krag to come up. last year though after 21-0 is when this shite should have been fixed.

Stud run spread offenses, that doesnt' mesh with Miles, same with Crowton.

Miles needs someone that runs an offense similar to what he wants to do.

right. at some point you have to stop blaming the revolving door of OC's and QB's and look at the one constant over the last 6 years.

Im on this train.

Les gives power to those he trusts. If he doesn't trust you, then you dont get it. See the QB position the past few years. When coach deosn't trust the QB he doesn't let them throw passes that could go wrong. It is dumb IMO, but the best way to combat it is to put other around him that he trusts so he can hand over the reins. Im hoping this hire would do that.

Only time will tell, but I think it would be a solid hire.

Exactly. And this board is full of people who love them some LSU inept offense. They just need to face it. Programs like LSU, Bama, UF, etc..aren't going to let something like lack of an OC ruin their chances at a title year in and year out. It'd be a great hire.

To say it's P&G blinders is ignorant. The man was an OC in the NFL for YEARS.

I don't disagree with you, I disagree with the guy who said Stud had no OC experience, which is clearly false

HBT you know we're on the same page here when it comes to Miles

But I really think this is the best option LSU had and it's a damn good one. Les and Cam go back. I'm pumped.

les benched the most efficient qb in the sec and one who was top 10 in the country for the rest of the season after throwing 2 picks. i think that tells us no one knows what that nutball will do if/when cam cameron is hired as OC.

My bad, Stud did have some OC experience. Ad yes we have to see if Les let's go of the reigns. Only time will tell. But it still doesn't change the fact that it's a good hire.

I mean, what's the alternative? "Well, Les won't let go of the offense anyways so we might as well just keep Stud at OC." ? Miles would be lynched in the streets of BR if this happened.

no doubt. if he lets him be the OC then probably a 7 hire. If not then a 5.

Stud is a good coach and i think he has done what was asked of him as best he could, but for some reason it's just not the right fit.A hire like CC could be the final piece needed to get to next level,Dam i'm excited!!!

oh i agree it is a great option for LSU and id love to see it happen. I wanted major staff turnover after 21-0 and clemson. Studs fatass should have been fired after 21-0, id like to see us dump ensminger as well. Ill settle for cam coming though and stud being moved back to oline for this year until we can replace him with a better oline coach.

I do worry that les will frick with the o because that is what he does. he did it to jimbo, he did it to crowton after the pick 6s, and he has owned stud from the start.
