How much fear would creep its way into your frontal lobe? The fact that a careless spoiled little boy could have all kinds of toys daddy Saban bought him to use as he pleases is a scary thought.

It's not like he has a team of 2*'s at Tennessee and USC... And still got fired

SEC Network thinks Dabo will be next Bama coach if he wants it.

I'd be very okay with Dabo too.

Happy even.

I never understood how Saban recruits so well. He seems like ok guy but not really a guy young people would like that much. I don't get how he lures out of state players to a small city in Bama.

He had more toys at USC. Very little competition for California Recruits, 2nd largest TV market in the country, and So Cal woman to impress.

I agree. I've been a huge Kiffin proponent from Day 1. I knew he'd be successful in Tuscaloosa. Probably the only non-gump to say so, which made me the only one with a triple digit IQ to believe so.

Alabama has always recruited well. It's not just Saban. And Tuscaloosa is larger than Clemson, FWIW. And it's not isolated.

Did everyone forget that USC was on probation?

That doesn't explain his shitastic offense, with the number 1 recruit in the country taking snaps under center no less, that magically got better after he was fired.

He did do well last year with Sims however. Will be interesting to see what happens this year without Cooper.

Kids were still drawn to USC, he had a QB that will likely be a Heisman contender this year in Cody Kessler.

lol how is Clemson more isolated than Tuscualoosa?

Other than B'ham, what is near? it is a flat area in middle of the state.

Clemson is 40 minutes from downtown Greenville SC, the heart of the most populated county in SC. it is adjacent to lakes and near the mountains. Atlanta and Charlotte are 2 hours away.

I'd say T town is more isolated but they're both in states without major population centers

Clem is off I-85 which is a high growth corridor in the country. new stuff is going up left and right in Greenville. just because it is in rural location does not mean it is isolated.

isolated is Pullman Washington where Washington State is, or Iowa in Ames, or maybe Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.

Draw a 500 mile radius around Tuscaloosa.

Tuscaloosa is in west-central Alabama. It's the most populous part of Alabama. There's 240K in the Tuscaloosa Metro. Birmingham is 40 minutes away with a metro if 1.5 million.
