Who beat that 2010 squad? And how good were those teams in 2010 vs 2008?

2010 Bama played teams that inished thusly:

#1 Auburn
#8 LSU
#12 Arky
#14 Mich State
#22 S Car

We went 2-3 vs that schedule losing to #1, #8, and #22.

In 2008, we played teams that finished

#1Florida
#2 Utah.
#10 Georgia
#20 Ole Miss

Pretty comparable schedules.

He could recruit better players at Ole Miss, no doubt.

no one answered my Miles/LSU/OKState topic.....but this was the answer I'm looking for.

Using secfan's logic, LSU shouldn't have gone after Les Miles because we beat him in the Cotton Bowl.

He's trying to make a point.....and he's close....but it's just not quite there.

Actually, my logic is that i simply dont understand all those who wish to suck leach off. if he was as good a coach as you say, he should have been able to take the best team he ever fielded at tech and beat houston nutt.

ok.....

now look at the differences between Auburn and LSU those two years...There's your two win difference.

I'm not "sucking Leach off."

I'm just saying that he would bring two much needed things to Ole Miss football in general:
1) excitement
2) stability

From 2002-2009, Texas Tech posted at least 8 wins. That's the kind of stability Ole Miss needs.

ah...so you admit to not agreeing with someone and taking a completely irrelevant argument to try and make your point.

....all the while completely ignoring my point(which I've made plain as day) of him being able to recruit better all-around athletes in this area.

...and like I've already said to refute your "point"....why did LSU go after Les Miles after he took his best team he ever fielded at OSU and beat Cutcliff?

If Leach is so awesome, then why is he still hanging out of Key West?

And dont say because of the lawsuit. Plenty coaches with worse baggage get hired all the time

I think Slive will discourage any SEC team from hiring Leach although they could still do it.

Ole Miss needs to go after a solid assistant in the Saban tree mold or someone like a Dan Mullen or an OU assistant.

Charlie Strong might not be a bad option but Louisville might be an easier job though. Kevin Sumlin might be a good choice as well.

Leach is a system guy who would never win the west just like he never won the Big 12 South. He wins games but doesn't win championships which is what I want. TT will have a better legacy at TT then Leach.

ok...Bama lost to UF in 2008 and beat OM both years. I fail to see how that backs up your point.

as a matter of fact......it doesn't. Had Bama beaten UF in 2008 or lost to Ole Miss last year...then it would back your point up. As it is....It just adds to all the other irrelevant facts that you've brought up so far.

Yeah, but Nutt has that southern revival minister karma about him that speaks to a lot of the old guard OM establishment.

If I had millions in the bank I wouldn't be jumping to leave Key West either. I also think ADs everywhere are scared that he is a ticking time bomb.
