Did you see that awesome win over ND? The fricking longhorns are back. That bought Charlie at least 3 more years.

Thank God someone else sees what a mirage the ND win is.
I vote Tenner for the Herman sweepstakes BTW.

He's coached all over Texas, I could see him taking the #1 coaching job in Texas if offered.

I disagree. A broke state and incompetent AD.
Can't argue about the AD part but only a fraction of the salary comes from the state.

Herman will go anywhere he wants (assuming he doesn't face plant the rest of the year). This will sound crazy, but I think LSU is the only program his agent will think is "worthy". Either LSU or he'll continue to build Houston and wait for a Texas opening.
This is not a slight on the other programs- but each has disadvantages (AU has Bama, UT has no in-state talent)and Herman can be very, very selective at this point. If rumors that USCe lost him because they lost to The Citadel are true, that will go down as the most painful lost in USCe history.

That leaves Aggy. Herman already has ties to Texas recruiting. Aggy has proven time and again to pay a frickload of money to be sub-mediocre. Herman doesn't have to move too far away from Houston, and he has established himself as Texan.
Pretty hard for that to happen when KS isn't going anywhere for a while.
Self hating Ags are kind of silly.

No wonder Kiffin is praying Auburn hires him!

Beat me to it. #1 recruiting class on Rivals in 2015. That team is an embarrassment right now, and there's no excuse for it.

Really? In the past 5 years, Auburn has an NC and 2 SECC. I wait for you to tell me what the other schools involved have more than that.

Don't expect you to agree. But AU isn't even top dawg in their own state. Herman is in the catbird seats of catbird seats....and AU is a shiteshow of epic proportions.

Texas looks better this year, for sure. I thought that game was more a reflection of ND not being as good as expected though. If texas had won that one in South Bend? I'd be more convinced.
They'll do better in the little tx conference this year, which is shaping up to be a dumpster fire. But I'm not convinced they're all that just yet.

I like how people still think ties has anything to do with schools hiring coaches. Hire after hire proves otherwise.
