.. The whole game and never throws a pass does AU win that game?

IMO they do because Clemson clearly respected his running ability which opened up the read option game. That's Gus' bread and butter but he refused to run it for the most part.

With the way AUs defense looked they could be a 9 win team with just a serviceable offense.

I didn't watch except the last hail mary but i don't think your D will stay as good as it was tonight. Steele isn't much of a dc.

The offense looked ok with JF3 in. He is the best choice they have imo.

No. We needed to stretch the field to keep 8 and 9 out of the box no matter who was playing QB.

I don't understand why Franklin never tried to run himself. He is suppose to be faster than Nick Marshall.

No. JF3 cant throw the ball. Not at all. Once that is apparent, the running scheme will not work.

He is good for a few series but he cant be the guy. Once its seen that he cant throw, everyone will stack the box and we wont be able to run the ball.

Yeah, Johnson was gashing Clemson when Franklin was giving him the ball. Gus should have stuck with it. I don't know why he kept putting JJ in.

Didn't see it. Was to busy watching Bama dominate a team full of 5 stars. Your best bet would be Franklin if Gus is gonna run his offense.

Personally, I dont think his plays were reads. I believe they were designed runs.

If you change what Gus did, that would change what Clemson did.

Who's to say the changes Clemson did based on Gus's changes wouldn't have caused Auburn to lose by more points.

You could what if all day, but there's too many variables to know for sure.

Yes. Gus should try that the rest of the year. John Franklin in perpetual wildcat and Auburn never throws a pass. That should work really well.

And for the defense, the lack of depth on that d-line will begin to show half way through the season.

Franklin looks like he could be Nick Marshall esque. Not like Marshall was elite as passing, just clutch as hell.

frick idk how we got into this clusterfrick.

He doesn't know the playbook or how to make the read. His athleticism is intriguing, but I don't think he can be a qb.

That's fricking stupid. They ran 1 play with Franklin in, and he didn't even keep it once. At least Marshall in 2013 had 3 plays.

Depth on the d line is literally the only thing we have going for us right now. What are you talking about?

I thought White should have played more and AU maybe try and throw a forward pass. The offense looked decent with JF3 but all he did was hand it off. Should have been a 2 man rotation with JF3 and White and leave JJ on the bench. JF3 obviously isn't ready to play a full game.
