Wisconsin would need to lose again

Is Wisconsin's resume really better than UF's would be if they end the season beating FSU and Bama? I can't remember who they have beaten besides LSU

Doesn't matter if its a 13th game or not. Its a title game against another top 10 team. Both OU and OK State will likely both be in the top 10 tonight when the poll is released.

The committee has literally said it's mattered

Absolutely. If both win out...

Currently Wisconsin sits at #18 SOS Florida sits at #60

Wisconsin, if they win out would have two more wins and one of those over either Michigan or Ohio State. So that would give them 4 wins over top 30 teams this season and Minnesota is a top 40 win.

Way to pick what you quote of mine and leave off the fact that Florida would only have 12 games as well.

You stating a 13th game matters when Florida is only playing 12 themselves is quite comical on your part.

The committee has said it won't hold games that are cancelled against a team. It's not like Presbyterian is the same as a potential matchup against Baylor.

- Oklahoma will have played 10 P5 games and 2 Non-P5 games (1 of which was Houston), one OOC P5 game vs Ohio State

- Florida will have played 10 P5 games and 2 Non-P5 games, one OOC P5 game vs Florida State

Again, the makeup of the resumes is almost identical

Florida is only going to have 12 games this season anyway, even after the SECCG.

This is irrelevant. UF playing Presbyterian probably would've hurt their chances more than helped honestly.

If UF was playing another power 5 team instead, you'd have a point.

Its not irrelevant when the only argument being thrown out by UF fans is the whole 13th game argument.

Big 12 teams already play 9 league games. Its a moot point as has been said over and over again. SEC teams only play 8 league games.

Its not rocket surgery.

Couple other things have to happen I think. I think Clemson has to lose again. And Washington would have to lose again.

Not sure that would do it, either. Oklahoma would sneak in, and Clemson might still go.

Who knows. A major miracle would have to happen for Florida to go. Alabama could lose the SECCG and still go.

The committee has stated:

Cancelled games will not count against a team

Not having a conference championship will count against a team

Yet OU and Ok State are playing their 9th league game of the season and it is for the conference championship.

Alabama and Florida are also playing their 9th league game of the season and it is for the conference championship.

I posted this topic pre L6U game and was flamed heavily. First was UF was gonna get destroyed by L6U so the rest didn't matter.

I think UF beats FSU but losses to Bama, but in one game anything could happen. UF has the defense to stop Bama, have a bad game with turnovers and you never know. If UF wins out they will have earned it, not a back door.

The real question is would Bama still get in with the 1 loss. IMO they would still be one of the 4 best teams. All depends on what other teams do. But 2 SEC teams in would cause some serious backlash.

Come on DBU...we were cupcakes not long ago according to you, now show some love...the question is real and the answer should be real....he didnt say we WOULD win out buy asked that if we did?

Would we be in the CFP and I will tell you right now...hell yeah..we beat the girls school and jump into the top ten at 9-2 and then beat the # 1 ranked team? Yeah...they couldnt put Bama above us....so figure on jumping from around 8th or 9th to 4th...you know a couple of teams are going to lose anyway. Bama might still get in if we did beat them...3 & 4 and win first round. Not saying this is going to happen but not saying it wont either.

Someone wrote if UF wins out and Michigan wins out they have a shot.

I wouldn't bet the farm.
