I do.

Fist-Bump Missouri.

Still think the West would have been a better spot to put you guys though. My pet peeve is that geography really needs to matter more. Auburn to the East makes more sense, instead of kowtowing to the Gumps.

Well, if that's the case, then why not completely consolidate the TV markets in states instead of splitting them in half with the ACC and Big XII?

Because that's not how it works. At all.

1. We already have 100% coverage in Texas. We don't want another Texas team.

2. We want teams from populous states NOT already represented in the SEC.

3. NC State would get us mucho coverage in a populous state. Virginia Tech would do the same for Virginia and the DC market.

4. Forget Oklahoma. State is too small and their legislature demands both Ok State and OU remain in the same conference. We would LOSE money in the SEC payout of we took those two schools.

This guy gets it. If there is another SEC expansion, it will be NC State and either Va or Va Tech.

Subtract Mizzou
Add: Oklahoma
Clemson
Virginia Tech
West: LSU Oklahoma A&M State Ole Miss Arkansas Alabama Vandy

East: Clemson Virginia tech Auburn Georgia Florida Tennessee South Carolina Kentucky

Wish this would happen just so Danny Kannell would completely lose it

Agreed. We already have too many. Why the regular talk about adding more?

I do.

But not talking about that.

However, if that's what you want to focus on, then Tulane is a viable choice for that.

85% of their students and alumni are from over 300 miles away.

They have a big northeast footprint we could exploit with the conference change and them getting more money for their program to build on

Threads like these are always entertaining because people start naming names like Oklahoma, Texas, Clemson, and FSU as if this was just one big PlayStation game.

No its not.The school has 13,000 students and maybe an
alumni base of about 80k.Even if 10k are NY and another
10k in DC it means nothing.Ohio State alone has almost
700,000 alumni.There's pprobably close to 500k big 10
alumni in NYC and another in DC.That's the reason Rutgers and Maryland were chosen as expansion members.

Once again, they DON'T have big footprint at all and getting them "more money" has nothing to do with expansion if they bring nothing to the table...which they don't.

Does nothing for TV markets to bring in GT (the Atlanta market is dominated by UGA) or Tulane (market dominated by LSU). NC State (Raleigh/Durham) and VT/UVA (DC/NoVa market) make much more sense than GT and Tulane. You could move Mizzou to the West and add 2 of those teams to the East. The biggest issue, if it comes to that, would be the ACC's ridiculous penalty for leaving the conference ($50 million). In a case like that, it might make more sense to add a smaller NC school like ECU that could be potentially built into a stronger football program, and then add a South Florida or Oklahoma school. Expansion will be tricky, if it occurs.

Well, duh! Why does FLA and GA get to cake walk into the SECCG every year? They have UK, Vandy, Mizzou, and SC to beat up on. Who does the West get to beat up on? MissState? Theyre better than all those teams except maybe SC. Its bullshite.

The East gets a basketball school, a nerd school, a school for SJW-LGBTQs and some cocks. The West has to deal with a bunch of hardasses that play man-ball and the Faggies(Mr. Deep Pockets).

Since the Big 12 has added a conference championship game, I don't see any team moving from that conference. Clemson won't move as they are the Alabama of the ACC. I don't see any teams that would consider moving that would be worthy of SEC status. Missouri should be in the west and move Auburn to the East.

My opinion is people are shortsighted.

Look, let's assume that Virginia Tech and NC State both wanted to come.

The two TV markets they could get you into are great ones.

If you were the Supreme SEC Overlord and got to make the decisions, it would make perfect sense for the 100 million dollar cost to be spread across all 16 teams (be about 7 million for each school). That's a one year thing, about what schools get hit for when they feel the need to can a coach and staff these days.

Those TV markets are going to be with you a long time, and frankly that is where the money is. No brainer to me.

As for ECU they aren't as well known as some of the other NC schools. But they have passionate fans.

Lot of talent in NC, and they have recruited the Tidewater area successfully in the past too.

Not so sure anyone should overlook that program's potential if they somehow got an SEC invite. Heck their stadium isn't much smaller than Mississippi State's (if it is smaller, not going to google this).

And as long as we are going hypothetical, I'd rather have West Virginia than Virginia Tech. My kind of people.

NC State has a football program on the rise and a storied basketball program. Baseball has been pretty solid over the last decade as well. Hell, they'd probably be the second best team in SEC East this year in football. And as someone pointed out, the TV market in Raleigh/Triangle area is 2 million+

Miami (FL) / Florida State
NC State / UNC
Oklahoma / Oklahoma State
Texas / Texas Tech
Virginia Tech / Clemson
