DAK's last home game. He is gonna run crazy all over OM and then find Henry Jones Jr and tea bag him in from of Kimdeechy.

Brent was actually a pretty good running qb. The problem was that O and Brent were both set on him being a drop back passer. That just wasn't his game.

Mett put up sick juco stats too and was still pedestrian his first year at LSU.

Mett spent more time at Bogies than the practice facility.

My stars...some of you are downright amnesiacs.
Last year Bo was routinely critiqued and skewered game by game, and now we must compare him to Kelly who has not played a down yet?

If NOT for Bo, we would not have beat Alabama or State much less had our football program on the fast track to relevancy once again.

I've been told Kelly is impressive even very good, but we'll have to wait and see how he compares to Bo. No matter HOW well Kelly does, his performance in NO WAY will diminish Bo's contribution to Ole Miss. What Bo did for Ole Miss in light of the state of the program when he came here was damn impressive. I will always be glad he was here and stuck it out. He's not only a good athlete but a kid with a lot of guts and courage.

I hope Kelly does as well. He is filling some big shoes.

It honestly wouldn't matter who he was replacing. The pressure of becoming a starting SEC QB year 1 at that particular program is not imaginable to us.

I think the D will win some games no matter what the QB does.

What's much funnier is losing 4 out of your last 5 games and thinking you'll win the West this year.

What is hilarious is someone thinking that matters one damn bit the next season.

Negative. Stewart Patridge went from Pillow Academy to Mississippi Delta Community College then Ole Miss.

Every Ole Miss fan I know makes the assumption that Laquon and Tunsil are going to continue on pace like their injuries never happened. Even if you ignore the real possibility that one or both continues to struggle with subsequent injuries, a WR making a 100% come back from a lower leg break and ankle dislocation, in less than a year, seems improbable.

Too many issues on the OL. Too many question marks overall, I don't think it's as simple as whether or not Chad pans out. Golson and Pruitt will be hard to replace, maybe they weren't 1st rounders, but both really contributed so much to that defense. There are players who can step up and start to fill those shoes but even then, the complete lack of LB's is going to be tough to overcome in a run first league.

IMO a 9 win season would be a huge deal. And honestly, only dropping 4 out of @Bama, Ark, @ State, LSU, @Aub, TAMU, and @UF is a pretty reasonable goal to shoot for. Having State, Auburn, and Bama on the road really doesn't help you guys at all. Auburn is the West favorite, home team almost always wins the Egg Bowl, and taking 2 in a row from Saban is probably possible but I don't have evidence of it ever happening.

We don't play Tennessee this year.

Who rotates in? That could make 8-4 more of an expectation than goal. It's still going to be very easy for any team in the West to drop 4. Should be another interesting season.

He would have been formidable in a zone read type offense...as it was, he completed about 40% of his passes while at Ole Miss.

If Chad Kelly is as good as good as advertised, the running game improves, and the injury bug doesn't bite, we have a legitimate shot at challenging for and winning the West. If Chad Kelly is not as good as advertised, the running game does not improve, or the injury bug bites, we'll be a 8- or 9-win team with a stingy defense again.

Where was he advertised as "good"? He had to go to juco to play cuz he couldn't earn playing time. So far I'd say he's been advertised as "bad". I mean, I guess he can throw it far.

He was a true freshman...two weeks in...and he did get playing time.

So has every OM player ever on Gene's Page and Elitedawgs.

We'll have no problem replacing them...and it's Prewitt for the fricking 2847230498 time. I don't see why tRant talks so much about the difficulty to replace him, while not being able to spell his last name.

We did fine in 2012-2014. It's funny because we were done two years ago without Denzel and then Bryant steps in. We were done last year when Denzel went down and Keith Lewis steps in. If Mike Marry and DT Shack can have major roles in that spot and our defense be one of the nations best, you're kidding yourself if you think CJ/Denzel/Gates/Russell is going to hinder our season.

Too many question marks overall

I love this song and dance. It plays every offseason. What are these numerous question marks? Who is going to play center? Who is going to be left off the 2-deep at WR? How long will Freeze make it look like a QB competition when Kelly won the job weeks ago?
