If the placement of college football rankings rates in your mind as a "travesty" then you need a priority check.

We played both back to back and OM is better plus beat them head to head. Neither deserves to be in over Oregon tho.

The committee is giving extra weight this year to the defensive line, and Ole Miss lost a lot of points last week:

Because that idiot coach of yours waited until he got down 2 TDs in the eighth game of the year before he played his best QB.

And Ole Miss is the game Tennessee circles on its calendar every year. 27-0 in the first quarter is worse than what Ole Miss did to you. Simply because we let you squeeze out a few points and dropped the ball going into the end zone doesn't change the fact that this game was out of the Vol's reach from the opening kickoff.

One thing people forget is that WHEN you lose is key... Yes Ole Miss won, but I'm not ready to say they're better(they might be but I don't think the game definitively proved that)... They were better that night and more prepared but so was LSU during 9-6 but we all know what happened during the rematch. An arse kicking of epic proportions...
If they go undefeated and go to Atlanta then Ole Piss deserves to be in the playoffs. But if they drop one or two more and Bama wins out, would you still be so sure that they're the superior team because of one game that literally came down the the last minute? GTFO with that shite.

Could be, or it could be that after 6 consecutive 10+ win seasons, going 72-9 over that stretch (the winningest record in BCS during that time), and winning 3 BCS titles in 5 years has earned Bama the benefit of the doubt.
Do you not think if AU, LSU, Florida, Texas, ND, Michigan, UGA, or USCw could say they've won 10+ in six consecutive seasons, 3 out of 5 BCS titles, and the winningest record in country over that stretch that those teams would also get same benefit of doubt that Bama has earned?

i agree with this, but it really doesnt matter right now. hell, if om is 7 and bama is 4 and ole miss wins out, then om will be in the playoff.

I really have no dog in the fight, but I hope Alabama beats LSU.
That Tiger team is a young and talented team. The longer we, as a conference, can keep those young kids from learning how to win consistently, the better.
JMHO.

I presume that the hawg's Jeff Long will have to recuse himself from voting, as an SEC AD. But Rice will get to vote & she's a huge, self professed bama fan. With no formal ties, she is free to vote as she pleases. Chalk up one vote for bama.
