Saban has already established himself as the best coach in college football regardless of the outcome this season. But obviously it will add to his legacy as perhaps the best college football coach ever.

Coaches who have won a title have always said that trying to repeat is a lot harder than winning the first one because of team complacency and the fact that you have a target on your back. Bama's not trying to repeat. They're going for a third straight. This is not Saban's best team in my opinion but it will be his best coaching job if they can win it all again especially considering the teams they will have to go through from here on.

I'd be careful about claiming where this year's team stacks up. These last 3 games will determine that. If the defense catches another gear and the offense plays up to its capability in these last 3 games, then we could be watching a monster in the making.

I guess you didn't the see the thread about how LSU shut down Manziel. It got to 10+ pages because Bama fans showed up to remind everyone of 21-0, 38-17, Saban used LSU as a stepping stone and Bama gets any recruit they want out of Louisiana.
