It's a really good program

To me it will be Saban's greatest coaching job ever.

ever? eh, but I do think this is one of his best jobs at Alabama (esp. considering how focused they've been, when a good portion of people think they may be a shoe-in for NCG). I'd say 08 was his best job (even with the 2 losses at the end of year)

This is almost TOO ironic coming from a bama fan. I lived in birmingham for 2 years and I have never seen a bigger group of people who tie their entire lives and personal happiness to a game played by 19 year olds.

Obviously, it's the best run of all time.

I would hope that Bama fans appreciate what they've had. I would also hope they know what they've had in young Mr. McCarron. What that kid has achieved during his career is nothing short of phenomenal. He deserves- and should get- a lot of credit for this amazing run you guys have enjoyed. I know the more knowledgeable fans certain will give it to him....

Of those they only won against an over matched team.
Alabama's team is objectively more talented than every team they've played this year. That is in no way a knock, it's by far the most important part of success in college football. Alabama is the best because Saban has recruited the best, which is exactly what every coach wants to do.

I honestly don't think FSU's run from the late 80s - 90s was a real dynasty

They finished in the top 5 for 14 straight years, I'd say that counts.

Exactly dude I don't wear those crimson glasses 24/7. In fact, last years BCSCG was a complete joke. We were far better than ND than FSU was over VT

Win or lose, my opinion of the program will not change. Saban has made Alabama the #1 program in the country, who get a lot of low life fans who somehow tie their selfworth to a football team. Who want to be associated with a program so they go to Walmart and buy a T-shirt or support them on the Rant....

Some fans are, but not me. I get what you're saying but it doesn't apply to everyone.

1 Bama fan is insecure.

A hundred fans of other schools desperate to assign that feeling to all other Bama fans.

It really doesn't look like the Bama fans are the insecure ones

Same as it is now. Dominant. Obsessed over by the filthy masses. A detriment to America.

Maybe 1 in this particular thread on the internet. I'm talking about real life, where I've lived and worked with them on a daily basis.

And again, this thread is dumb. Think about what it's really asking..."If alabama wins out and goes undefeated and wins their 3rd national title in a row and 4th in 5 year..what criticisms would you have?"

What are people supposed to say? We all know and acknowledge how unprecendeted this run is, we get it.

You've won 3 NC's out of last 4 years. On verge of another and you're asking for opinions on the program?

No different. They have established themselves as the best football program already.

You start this thread knowing that this is one of the greatest runs in history of the sport and that any rational person would agree. Then say your not fishing for a dick sucking?

One of the greatest runs ever but I just don't see how a preseason No. 1 team's coach could do his greatest coaching job if they win it. They have been no.1 all year.

Coaches who have won a title have always said that trying to repeat is a lot harder than winning the first one because of team complacency and the fact that you have a target on your back. Bama's not trying to repeat. They're going for a third straight. This is not Saban's best team in my opinion but it will be his best coaching job if they can win it all again especially considering the teams they will have to go through from here on.
