Why not Move Alabama & Auburn to East and Vandy & Mizz to west.

then go to 9 games no permanents.

**LSU as well as every one else would have to play 2 of the big 6 every year even though its cross division**

LSU SCHEDULE
BAMA(UGA)
UF(AU)
UT(USC, UK)
--
TEXAM
ARK
OM
MSU
MIZZ
VANDY

Is that really so easy?

Who would A&M get in this scenario?

at the risk of sounding like a homer, it would have to be UGA

aTm is the strongest of the teams in the West in your scenario

also - Aubbie does not get Bama & LSU - they get Bama & State - neither LSU or AU will get 2 "power perms" from the other division

Bama would be the exception with AU & UT

Holy frick, we now want 2 permanent opponents?

That makes no sense. Bama is going to have to pick between UT & Auburn if Auburn moves over.

In this new configuration you'd have a split of 21 championships for the East teams versus 4 championships for the West teams since 1992.

East (Bama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Kentucky) with 21 championships

West (LSU, Ole Miss, MSU, Ark, Texas A&M, Vandy, Mizzou) with 4 championships.

In other words, the division would be horribly imbalanced. LSU might love it though.

Assuming Aub moves East, and LSU stays as one permanent, the next in line as far as games played would be MSU...

1 - LSU wins West 99% of the time.
2 - SEC won't split same state schools (Tn./Vandy, Ala./Aub., Miss./MSU joined forever).
