To me the litmus test is pretty simple: If UAB were an independent school with its own BOT, would it be pulling the plug? I have to think not. That should tell us something, if not about power and corruption, then at the very least about incentives and conflicting interests.

Which is basically my and a couple others whole point. It has always been the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Somewhere along the line they started slapping the UAB logo on everything and pretending it wasn't the University of Alabama School of Medicine. It's a frickin joke but not suprising at all that Auburn people think it's somehow not the University of Alabama's medical school.

If Bama truly had no bone to pick with UAB, why the hell are Bama fans so satisfied to see UAB football go? I haven't seen one Bama fan be sympathetic (maybe I missed it).

Also, if this is all about the BOT, you people do realize there are (4) members that are UAB graduates, (1) Ole Miss, (1) Auburn University (1) Tuskegee on the board. Where is their voice in all of this?
