UGA would absotluely NOT get in.

Two losses isn't killer by itself, but two TERRIBLE losses are.

A loss to a crummy South Carolina team and even worse getting absolutely crushed by crummy Florida team.

No way UGA gets in over anybody with 1 loss, be it Ohio State or Moo State.

Wouldn't surprise me. Probably a decent game plan if you think about it

If Bama beats Miss St by a slim margin, both teams are almost assured a spot in the playoffs, providing they win out. I still think the Egg Bowl is going to be a very close game, but we will see.

However, if Bama loses to Miss St, then Miss St ends up losing to Old Miss, its gonna get interesting. I think they would need to blow out whoever they play in the SEC Championship game to get that final spot.

And, think about this: If its a TCU, AZ State, Baylor vying for that 4th spot, I think Miss St gets the spot. However, if its Ohio State, I could see the Buckeyes getting the nod, mainly based on the drawing potential.

I don't think it even needs to be a slim margin. A loss on the road at Bama, and winning out, provided Bama does too, they're in.

If there are three other conference champions with 1 loss or less, there is a 0% chance the SEC gets two teams in IMO.

We would still have a better resume than any of the other teams with wins @LSU, @OM, A&M, AU, and @ Bama.

Don't think Dawgs should get in even if they beat the Dawgs. If the Dawgs lose I don't think they should get in either.

If UGA runs the table and beats MSU or Bama in Atlanta.....they get the 4th spot. You can talk about bad losses and quality wins until you are blue in the face because thus far that is the committees only criteria to go by. After the championship games are over, the committee will have their #1 criteria to finally consider. The SEC champion will be in the playoff. They would justify UGA by saying that they were the best of the SEC when it counted most....in Atlanta, coupled with beating a ranked Auburn and GT in the last 3 weeks.

This refers to half their schedule. What about the other half?

State goes over UGA even if UGA wins. UGA has almost zero chance even if they win out. They would have 2 quality wins, two terrible losses. That is like 2-2. 3-2 if you count Clemson as quality.

Ohio state, Baylor, Arizona state, all would go over UGA.

Under the circumstances I listed earlier, why wouldn't UGA get in over a one-loss Moo St team, two-loss B1G team, and a one-loss BIGXII team that didn't win their conference? I mean LSU lost to Arkansas and Kentucky and still went to the championship game because they won the SECCG. You can't tell me having a couple bad losses and an SEC Championship is going to keep you out of the play-offs. It would basically become the third play-off game in Atlanta if this were the case.

Jeff long just said the committee only considers head to head if all else is completely equal. He said the committee looks at body of work first and used wins against ranked opponents over and over as the factor they lookedat to seperate tcu and Bama. Look at Baylor several spots behind tcu who they beat. He said tcu is higher because they have beaten 3 ranked teams and Baylor 2.

Uga has no shot. MSU will have wins over 5 ranked teams, 2 top ten.

Uga will have two wins against ranked teams, 3 tops.

Uga just doesn't have enough quality wins no matter what. Discussion won't even be close enough to get to ugas terrible losses. Throw that in and it's a laughable comparison. Again, UGA has zero chance of going over MSU, period. If MSU gets to Atl undefeated, they are in even if they lose by 50 the way the committee is judging body of work.
