Defind blowout. I think 25 pt win is a blowout against LSU.

So it's a moot point.

Define a lot and a link to the exact percentage would be nice

If we drop the next 3 games he could face some heat, but losing by 21 to Alabama this season brings the same amount of heat as losing by 3 to Mississippi

Won't happen, and if it does, Miles will not be seriously affected.

FYI, next year is looking like it might be a little rough too. Defense has not progressed like we hoped and we're breaking in a bunch of new starters on the offense. So I doubt there will be a lot of pressure on Miles in 2014 regardless.

If we're not competing in 2015, though, there will be a problem.

Jennings will have another year of practice under Cam though, plus I think we only lose 1 OL. We really going to need to get Fournette though.

he really shouldn't be allowed 2015 if we say go 8-5 in back to back years.

id have more rope for a coach if the talent was bare because of the coach before them but our talent gap problem is 100 percent on les miles.

I think most rational LSU fans expect Bama to win this game. I am guessing the spread will be around 14 so a 21 pt lose wouldn't be shocking.

I believe there will be more pressure to beat A&M and a loss in that game would really get critics chirping.

The young defense is the issue this year but in 2014 the offense will have a new qb, likely need to replace the top 2 WR, and a stud RB. My guess is that it will be 2015 before LSU could hope to make a real run at a title.

which shouldn't be acceptable considering the level we should be at currently. plus saying we should compete in 2015 hinges on recruiting classes showing up and us bringing the talent along. I think both have to be questioned right now.

of course it all changes if saban heads west to texas

I think we're losing La'el Collins and Trai Turner. Last year's mass of defections might be causing me to overshoot on that though. And you're right, I'm not saying Jennings will be a big drop-off here or anything. I think his 2014 performance will be somewhere between 2012 Mettenberger and 2013 Mettenberger; he doesn't have the reps that Mett had coming into the season. If he keeps progressing like he has been, though, he may seriously have the best season a QB has ever had at LSU in 2015.

I disagree. We were a razor's edge away from being worse than that in 2008 & 2009, and came out of it pretty well. If we collapse completely and miss bowl games back to back then I'll be on-board, but I think we're looking at a 10-3 finish this year and anywhere from 9-4 to 11-2 in 2014. LSU would be insane to fire a guy for "only" going 17-7 in his last two years.

This. Our D is too young and Bama is wrecking people. The fact that its in T town just makes this one too tough for this LSU team.

Would be ecstatic for LSU to pull off a win but it probably won't happen, not this year.

I agree I am not happy with the current situation. Lots of questions but that is where LSU is right now.

The Nat Champ game against them was played in 2012, and yes that's the game I was referring to.

If you think this year's Alabama team is better than the 2011 version, you are a fricking moron.

The amount of retard in this thread is almost unbearable. The fricktard LSU fan saying that Alabama hasn't beaten LSU by more than 10 in 15 years? They fricking annihilated us 31-0 in 2002. At home.

I hate the vast majority of both of these fan bases.

actually given history its better for us to have the game in ttown.

bama owns us in baton rouge and we hold our own in ttown. plus the greatest upset bt the teams happened in ttown.

wow it takes back to back losing seasons before you would want miles gone?

imo any losing season at LSU should be a coaches last when we are talking multiple years into his term at LSU and the condition of our program when miles took over.

the only way i could even see a losing season being ok would be if our starting qb and back up qb were lost preseason or early in the season

im sorry that you going 8-5 shouldn't be acceptable with the level LSU was running at. if we were ole miss then sure 8-5 would be god level but we aren't.

hell 8-5 wouldn't bother me all that much if we had a extra title or two laying around but we dont.
