True, we could lose by 100 and it wouldn't matter.

Yes, he and his coaching staff will certainly show up prepared. That will either be enough given the man on the other side of the playing field, the overall balance of offensive and defensive talent, home field advantage, and luck --or it will not.

Don't know. Let's say Les loses by 21+.

It still is just a L, just like A&M loss by 7.

Not really, big difference in perception between losing by 1 point or 21, especially against the team you hate the most.

I beg to differ.

It's been 11 years since Bama has beaten LSU by double digits in the regular season.
Fancy Franci beat Saban 31-0 in Tiger Stadium in 2001.

It's been 23 years since Bama has beaten LSU by double digits in Bryant Denny. In the time, LSU has won over there 27-0, 27-3, etc. Both teams have blown the other team out on the road. It's a strange series. Since Saban though, all regular season games have been close at home and on the road.

Anything could happen this year if LSU's D plays like it did against Ole Miss. Bama would walk all over that version of the D. But if the D plays decent and LSU's offense shows up like it has been for most of the season, it will be the typical LSU/Bama game.

And if you mean the BCS Title game, then you're saying this team > 2011 team?

Offense? Sure.

ST? Sure.

Defense? Not quite.

Agree 100%. However, we won the SEC and got to the BCS game with division II quarterback(s).I'd say Miles coached his arse off that year.

One thing is certain, and I am as big a Miles fan as there is, we haven't a complete team for a while. Nicky-poo has done a great job team building. Heady QBs, elite playmakers,o-line,etc.

Also, ftr, AJ-imo deserves the Heisman trophy. I don't care what the numbers say, the guy has 3 losses in his career. He is unbelievable. Wins are a team stat, but man he kills it.

If Bama manages to win by 21 or more ill ban myself for the regular season. There is no way in hell even if Bama is that good that we beat LSU by 21. We were better than them in 1993 and managed to lose that game. We were better in 08 and 09 and probably 10 as well. All close games.

Nope. Played a lot against some teams.

Was the QB on the final drive against Aubie. 0-4, though one was a drop.

Yeah, see..unfortunately that's not how it works
Athletic department already in the red, there's no way, unless we go 3-9 a couple of seasons, that he will get fired or "let go" until his contract is up in 2019

I'm 23..We're stuck with him till i'm 30

Les will stay. Where could LSU find anyone that's going to be better? It' not like anyone else has beaten Saban consistently...

Really? There is no way that happens.

It's a fair question though. UA has won last 5 conference games by a 43-4 average. Think about that. Not one or two games. 5 games by almost a 40 point average. LSU lost to a banged up OM. We scored 17 on UF then Mizzou, with a 2nd string QB, put up twice that.

To the OP, that segment isn't the majority but it is a significant segment. It won't matter if LSU wins...the OM game will simply be pointed out. Saban's Lolitas will not be assuaged till they no longer have to endure seeing their first big love on the other sideline, and he retires to his lakehouse.
