They'd beat probably every team in the SEC outside of LSU, Alabama, Florida.. and South Carolina depending on which Garcia showed up

I can't imagine how many points they would score on Auburn or Arkansas.

Does anyone really believe that Oregon is a top 5 team. I'm not sure they would be #3 team in the SEC west. Any team with an athletic, big defensive line will cause Oregon fits - Auburn did in BCS (they still tried to run pee wee LaMichael between the tackles), LSU did (Oregon tried to become a passing team - fail) and Alabama would.

Oregon is a good team but you could bet the house that LSU/Alabama and probably Florida would beat them 4 out of 5 games on a neutral field.

Who said they were top 5?

Auburn didn't exactly stomp Oregon out either.. Auburn won by 3. The game was tied with 2:33 remaining in the 4th quarter.. and Auburn kicked a game winner with 0:02 left in the 4th.

I think they would suck in the SEC because of just what you said. LSU fans think Oregon is awesome. It's better to agree to disagree on that one.

I think they'd have a vastly better defense if they were in the SEC, though. Just due to the talent that grows down here. They'd probably replace Arkansas and fight for 3rd in the west, IMO.

I think no talent from down here would go up there to just play teams down here, their defense would still suck.

That question will not have to be answered. If the gumps win, it will be close.

well, numerous recruits have said they wanted to play in the SEC. that's the best football. i don't see why they wouldn't..

Oregon would have easily the best facilities in the SEC too. They'd be a force. Conference prestige, fun to watch team, and top notch facilities is a recipe for success. They'd be Florida-west.

Oregon lost to a team in the MNC that steamrolled the sec. That was by far the closest MNC game I have seen since Texas/USC. Don't try to downplay Oregon, give credit where it is due. We prepared our buts off for that game and it showed. I am not so sure saban could game plan for that, and to say "Alabama would kick their arse is just stupid. Sure bama looked strong against arky because they played nobody yet. It's fricking hard emotionally and physically to go on the road and get everyone's best shot and plan for 3 different attacks. Suck it gumps! We are number 1, and will Hightower cry for mama nov 5th

No, Florida to me is considered in reinventing themselves in 2011. Don't know what to think of Florida yet, but they look better prepared and utilizing there weapons more effectively to score points and move the ball. The D looks solid time will tell.

It could turn into a top win depending on how they finish the year.

Why is that?

Because bama and LSU are the two best teams in the country. If ya'll handle up on them at their place, why wouldn't LSU do the same thing at home?
