Should they be the new #1?

It doesnt matter. If we win, it will all work out in the end.

I would rather yall have that right now so we can take it Nov. 5. I like being the underdog. Saying that, I dont think Bama or LSU will be considered an underdog on Nov. 5. They will be the 2 best teams getting ready to slug it out.

Didn't you know? Alabama will beat 14 overrated teams this year. The SEC will be down.

If they win comfortably I think wins over PSU/Florida on the road and a rout of Arkansas at home would be more impressive than what LSU has done thus far.

Of course it will be settled on the field as always but I don't think a move to #1 would not be far fetched if Alabama is able to beat Florida handily.

No. Because Bama may win, but they're not going to win "handily".

Lsu best the number 3, 16, and 19 placed teams all away and y'all would have beaten 2 mid teen teams and a 23. Not better than lsu but better than oklahoma for sure

Yes but MSU sucks. If Alabama can win this game comfortably I think the voters will move them to the #1 spot.

Probably. I would rate at PSU, vs Ark, and @ Fla, over Oreg in Dallas, MSU on road, and WVU in Morgantown.

#1 is just a big target on one's back, one not worth wearing too early in a year.

Have ya'll seen the stats on #2 winning outright vs #1 in head-to-heads over the last 25 years? It's lopsided.

If that happens, then I have no doubt LSU will do the same thing.

What is Florida ranked??? I think for now, b/c of what our opponents were ranked at the time we played them, it would be LSU -#1 Bama #2.

Unless by handily, you mean like last years drubbing. If you beat them by 28-30 pts, then I'd say yes...Bama should be #1.
