Why Louisville? They add nothing to the conference that Kentucky already doesn't.
ETA: NC State and UVA.

I remember history class - snide comments about threads is what ended the Roman empire.
They say it killed the dinosaurs too

Any 2 of these:
Oklahoma
North Carolina or North Carolina State
Virginia or Virginia Tech
If for some reason we can't get an ACC team then either West Virginia or kansas along with OU.

God I hope not. The only schools we should consider are UNC, UVA but that likely isn't going to happen. I really wish we would just stop expanding.

Aren't UNC and Duke a package deal?

I don't know. I've been hearing its impossible to get any ACC teams now and for a while, I don't know anything about that either. Expansion is stupid

Why do SEC people of all people say this shite?
These conferences look at expansion from all the wrong angles. The SEC isn't elite, because of the markets Fayetville, Baton Rouge, Gainsville, and fvcking Tuscaloosa bring to the conference. They're elite because of the product they put on the field.
Louisville is easily the most undervalued program in expansion. They have arguably the top AD in the business. They have more big donors than most of the nation. Hell more people watch their basketball than anyone in the SEC outside of Kentucky.

Exactly, a direct result of the product they've put on the field.

I'm still trying to get rid of teams...

Does the falling through of the proposed ACC network change the game under their granting of rights?
And personally, if the SEC does expand further, I'm pretty sure whoever the commish is at the time will want to bring in another basketball powerhouse to help strengthen that aspect of the conference. I wouldn't be shocked if (if it was possible) they invited both UNC and Duke.

Louisville is an inter-city school. Doesn't fit in well with the other institutions. It is sort of like UAB with a few good sports teams.
Posted on 6/10/13 at 9:42 am to Dice410
I don't know why anyone would want Louisville. This is the SEC, we are far above taking city colleges.

Manners have exactly zero to do with why our country sucks, but I appreciate you trying to link your shitty thread to that.
I thought it was because of ignorance and apathy, but, then again, what do I know and why should I care?

Should be a law that requires any poster to get a license to post on the Rant.
That would stop all of the dumb statements like adding any city school (take your pick Louisville, Cincinnati, Houston, Evansville, Baton Rouge Comm College etc) from being mentioned in the same breathe at the SEC
OU is not coming without Okla State. And what would the Oklahoma market add to the conference revenue?
