Who knows. I think LSU finishes 9-3 and wins their bowl game.

I would be happy with a 10 win season O's first year with a brand new offense.

Baltimore won a Super Bowl without a qb and so did Tampa Bay. LSU has a great defense and will win a lot of games.

are you actually trying to compare Danny Etling to Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson? Both made Pro Bowls.

They both also won their Super Bowls with two of the best defenses in the history of football backing them up... sorry, but y'all ain't got that

Another one of those seasons where anything is possible. Looking forward to it.

It's gonna be a lot like last year. Maybe we pick up an additional win or two because we have a new look on offense. I'd be surprised if we win the west.

And 4th or 5th best in the SEC in 2017.
Congrats. No 'ships for you

You mean maybe 2nd best.. There's only one defense that may be better and it's Alabama. Don't fool yourself.

Avg QB at best, below average (SEC standards) OL and unknown WR

Avg QB---It's the same one we had last season. You think he's gonna regress? I think in Canada's system, he will improve. I don't think he's gonna be Tom Brady, but he was "Avg" last year. He'll improve.
-
"below average (SEC standards) OL" is ridiculous. Thru attrition, we aren't DEEP at OL, but we are extremely talented and experienced. And last year's OL was very good...multiple returning starters
-
Agree on unknowns at WR. We know there's talent, but they are, for the most part, unproven.
---
So you just skip RB and defense, huh?
-----
None of us "know" what is gonna transpire, but it's ridiculous to be all catastrophe syndrome over it when there is PLENTY to be positive about.

Most of the team looks stout, but if Etling is as bad as reports indicate it'll be tough to win more than 9 games.

I mean, that's what the practice and scrimmage reports hint at. I believe the word was "dreadful", and that's guys who get paid to write about LSU.

Not sure you understand how CFB works

.

I'm just pointing out that we are replacing a lot of talent on both sides of the ball.

its very hard to just "rinse and repeat" as you put it.

When's the last time LSU didn't need to replace a lot of talent on both side she of the ball? Elite players are replaced with elite players. Wash and repeat

i completely agree. i think our fans are being way too optimistic (well, even more so than normal).

i'd be happy with 8 wins and a 56-28 type game agains aggie.

Y'all returned 18 starters last year, so LSU didn't have to replace a lot of talent in '16.

Exactly.

We returned 18 STARTERS and lost 4.

2016 was actually the year for LSU to wreck shite and make a run and we fell on our face.

This clown calling me out for saying we are replacing a lot is an idiot.

I predict more carnage than usual.

This team is actually pretty young.

Watch your mouth. We're not any worse off this preseason than we were last. I'd actually be willing to say that we're better off. This team is more talented than last year's.

ETA: and I got coupons for Sonic, bruf, we can go

I think this is going to be a rough transition season for LSU too many new parts and schemes. I feel LSU fans will be in for a looong season. It could be bad

I think your a moron. All those moving parts are an absolute UPGRADE. First time in 5 years opposing coaches, and LSU fans won't be able to call the upcoming play.
