I Support LSU Fans Who Really Believe They Can Beat Bama

There is nothing wrong with being a fan of your team and feeling positive about their chances in any game, but especially a big home game.
Some Bama fans might make a big deal about the losing streak and act like just because they won five times in a row they will always win, but we all know in reality each game is different.
A new coach, a new QB, a new situation and its a whole different ballgame. LSU is showing some progress on the offense we haven't seen from them in years, and their high dollar DC is already paying off. Nothing wrong with saying they or any team has a shot in such a situation.
I think LSU can and will beat Bama, but mostly I support the LSU fans who agree.

I just think oversimplifying a game to simple winning streaks and recent history is stupid.
I also think it is dumb to mock fans who believe their team can win despite such losing streaks. Nothing wrong with being a fan.

I doubt there is one true LSU fan that doesn't think we CAN beat bama. I just think its retarded to have all these threads 1-2 weeks before the game talking shite...to me it makes our fans look insecure.

I can see that angle, but really if you are resigned to defeat every year by default why even be a fan?
People are too quick to want to force people to accept that their program will always be this or always do that, when really the whole point of fandom is to blissfully believe your team can overcome the odds.
I support LSU fans or any fans in a similar situation.

Now, I love the optimism and you should be that way but it's most likely not going to happen. That Tiger stadium magic tends to fall to Alabama's side in this series.
A lot of the "younger" LSU fans only remember the probation Bama teams that came in there. They had no chance with 59 players that nobody wanted going up against Saban. When Bama is at full strength, we play very well there. Bryant said it was like playing in a drum but he also said he never worried about a pregame speech because by the time his players got in the locker room they were so tired of hearing the bullshite from LSU fans his players were ready to kill somebody.
Bama wins by 2 touchdowns.
