I just mean that saying the SEC is not mainly a football conference is ridiculous. I have nothing against basketball, I myself just don't really care for it. But that's of little importance. Kentucky is a regular power and so is Florida, of late, and Arky has had their moments. But football does reign supreme in the SEC....hands down.

I never denied that. But so is the B1G. Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Wisconsin are all "football schools" in a football conference that do pretty damn well in basketball too.

People who use the football conference excuse are always the ones who hate basketball, and that's fine, but that's not the reason the SEC struggles in basketball.

I never said that.

And I like football 10x more than basketball FWIW.

Florida and Kentucky are legit. Not sure on the rest.

Bama is tha shite you dumb Frick just ask Dukie V. Im a huge football fan.. But I'm a huge bball fan too. I don't understand why its so hard to be both.

Bama is gonna stomp Maryland tomoro and win the Puerto Rico tourney. Prolly gonna split with UK and UF in SEC play.

SEC teams have prolly put more money in basketball than ever. The rest of the league just sucks for no reason.

USC is terrible. The sad thing is, the fanbase has gone from being mad that we suck to not caring. Not caring is way worse IMO.

apathy has set in at lsu as well. And we were in the final four just as couple of years ago. that's how quickly trent has run it into the ground.

we got outrebounded last night by 20. by coastal carolina.

I'm a huge fan of both the football and basketball programs at Alabama.

I don't understand why so many people hate the sport of basketball or just simply don't care.

I support my team and watch every game I can with damn near the same level of intensity of a football game.

Hopefully the Tide can back up their preseason ranking this year and help the SEC perform well in the Big Dance.

I do support LSU basketball when they're good but the importance of them being good is so far below football and baseball that I just accept it when they suck.

The SEC will gain two top 25 b-ball programs next year.

Arky fans can continue to diminish what Missouri has accomplished (didn't they put that coaching line on the court because of Norm Stewart running down the floor screaming at refs?) but we are a top 25 program. Not a powerhouse, but an upgrade for the SEC for sure.

Of course, we'd like to be a top 10 program, but that ain't happening with Frank fricking Haith.

Totally agree. It's like these types of fans don't have the mental capacity or IQ to follow more than 1 sport. I'm as big an Alabama football fan as any other on this board. The fact that I care about Alabama basketball (and college basketball in general) doesn't make me any less of a college football fan.

When I think of the mentality of the rammer jammers of the Alabama fanbase, I think of the rednecks at Alabama's fan day that would AND ACTUALLY DO endanger their newborn child for Saban's autograph. The same people that swell with pride over the Roll Tide/War Eagle documentary. It's pathetic yet these mouth breathers don't have enough sense to know that people are laughing at their pathetic obsession with Alabama football and Alabama football only. These same fans couldn't begin to tell you where Coleman Coliseum is. If they do somehow get lucky and find the arena they MAY show up in years we win the Iron Bowl for halftime of the Auburn game when the football team receives the ODK Trophy.

P.S. Not calling you out personally rammer jammer. I'm just calling out the mentality of your first post.
