I got your gist and I thought it was perfect. Y'all used to catch all the hell during the Urban years and now it is UT.

If you are impressed by that you should check out the Bama dominance over LSU. Bama owns that arse. It's embarrassing how we have owned that arse.

It's like saying you had no idea the series between OM and Bama was so lopsided because of the last two years. It's about more than straight-up h-to-h.
Also: let's face it, comparing an era that includes the best period in UF's history (by far) with an era that includes the worst period in UT's is hardly fair. I take no joy in defending UT, but I think intellectual honesty is the way to go here.
Edit: no joy. NO joy. Dammit. Now Kim Jong Un is going to execute me with anti-tank guns for crimes against humanity.

Appreciate that but it's not as lopsided as that stat. We only played 21 times prior to 1992. We had the series lead until the current streak.

Tennessee couldn't beat them with Payton Manning

My point, which I somehow forgot to segue to, was that taking the number and ignoring the context is misguided. I think UF is still the winningest team in the SEC since 1990 (I'm not going to look up if they still are, but if not, they're pretty damned close.) UT still won a BCSNC and went through the roughest period in its history while UF was peaking (people can argue when the peaking happened, but Urban winning two titles in less than half the time it took Spurrier to win one sounds like peaking to me.)

So, if UT wins this year, does it erase all those other years?

Gotta get that monkey off our back, then beat it to death, then bury it in a lead container dozens of feet underground.
Nasty little bastards.

UT was good for a decade and a half after segregation. They're like an Oregon or Boise in my book.

20-6 UGa
20-6 UT
26-0 Ky
20-6 and 26-0 are impossible, because the divisions have only existed for 24 years. Here's UF's actual record against permanent opponents since the divisions were created:
2-2 (.500).......Missouri
14-10 (.583)...LSU
18-6 (.750).....Georgia
19-5 (.792).....South Carolina/Tennessee
23-1 (.958).....Vanderbilt
24-0 (1.000)....Kentucky
Looks like Mizzou is the only permanent opponent that owns UF since the creation of the SEC East.
