Mizzou didn't come into the SEC when the East was down, they came into the SEC when Florida was down. They are going to get it figured out here over the next few years what the deal is in the East.

That is some South Carolina-level stuff right there.

That is an exceptionally misleading 'stat.' We didn't play Florida regularly until the 1990s.

From 1916–1991 we only played a total of 21 times.

The entire series history is 26–19 Florida. Until the current streak we led the series.

and aside from the late 90's, UT has never been very good.

Tennessee was good the entire decade of the 90s and won the East 3 times in the 2000s (2001, 2004, and 2007). I think the fallout at the end of Fulmer and the events that transpired thereafter has seemed to diminish and influence perceptions of what Tennessee actually was prior. Just because they haven't won the SEC since 1998 doesn't mean they have been a bad football team since then.

UGA has started beating UF as of late?

27-3 UF
38-10 UF

Florida is 20-6 vs. UGA since 1990.

Ring a bell?

0-2 in the past 2 years
3-2 in the last 5
3-5 of the last 8,
5-7 of the last 12
6-13 of the past 19

It gets worse if I keep going, but you get the point. UF has obviously owned us more than ya'll, but dammit they have us both

do you consider 26 years "of late" genius?

We've won 2 of the last 4 and 3 of the last 5. Ya know..lately.

Considering the series from 1990-2003 yeah, I would without a doubt say that we've "started beating UF as of late".

Yeah, I get the point that some of you oddly think 25 years ago is lately.

3 wins over the last 5 years is lately. What happened when spurrier was facing goff is relevant how?

That's extremely relative.

Lately could be considered the last two years. Two years in which you have been walloped to the tune of 27-3 and 38-10. With the worst quarterback Florida has ever had. That's what I've seen happening, lately.

What about 0 over the last 2? Is that not lately enough for you?

They're only 8-9 vs Alabama since 1990. Pretty damn good.

Florida was damn near worse than USC before Spurrier. I dont even think UF ever won 10 games pre spurrier. They were dog shite. They did cheat i think with Charlie Pell, the same Clemson coach that kick started their cheating, but those games were striped in the 80s

There natty wasn't, not did the ACC presidents get together and vote to strip them of their conference title.

Anyway I digress. Not that I am butthurt about it or anything.

Florida has been Tennessee's weakness for decades now. Gotta get that monkey off our back, then beat it to death, then bury it in a lead container dozens of feet underground.

In that case, who would you think UT's next head coach would be?

I'm not sure why yall are strugglign so much with this. Go back to my first post in the thread:

I'll help you out. From 1990-2003 it was just a known, national thing that UGA couldn't beat florida. Plain and simple. We had a couple random wins in 04 and 07, but won 3 in a row 11-14. The point is that although we're still not doing great, we're at least doing MUCH better than that other 25 year period. As a result of that, the media has backed off the "why can't uga ever beat florida?" routine and placed all their jokes on UT's inability to beat florida.

It's really pretty simple, yet for some reason yall latched onto some semantics with the jaws of life to try to invalidate the point, which is valid.
