You sure about that, Scotter? I think scholarship limits didn't start until 1973, long after GT left
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes quite sure, but nice try

140 Limit for both Football and Basketball(was an SEC rule BTW), The teams that had over that, had numerous walk ons. Hell there was one bama team that had almost a hundred freshman

ETA: and do you mean scooter? I am not sure who scotter is

How about a link...kinda like the one I produced.
By the way, didn't you originally post that Alabama "cheated", then came back and said that they "bent" the rules?
My apologies! I just noticed that it wasn't you that directly accused Alabama of cheating, it was the cattlehumper in Miami. I'd still like that link, though.

You mean besides the one that is already in the thread?

You got the second half correct. I think I might fall back on my reading comprehension comment here, but add retention, as that is also a key component

Being older and being around SEC during the sixties...I can tell you that Bear Bryant was not the most liked coach then....his legacy improved in the 1970s when Bama was a machine running the wishbone and tough as nails defense.

Vandy had issues and screamed loud and clear about the Bama "sleeper" play where a wr would run to the sidelines as if going out ...and then be right on the edge of the boundary and receive a pass downfield. There were a few SEC coaches that didnt care for the tactic...but Bryant was a
crafty codger and if he could beat you...he would.

There are a lot of other things...but no time. The SEC was simply ten schools for a long time and now look at it...I have to say though that even if I am a traditionalist...think A&M and Mizzou has and will continue to help our image.

Lot of Bama-obsessed butthurt crying in this thread...especially by the Barn fans.....becuase Bear beat their asses then and Saban is doing it now,,,,AU fans crying about "those cheatin' Bammers" is the ultimate irony.....

Is there any question as to why your fanbase would not be considered delusional and have a severe addition problem?

As much crying and bitching as you guys do about Bama you should follow Georgia Tech's lead and quit the SEC....you're more like a middle of the pack ACC team anyway,,,,we'll pick up LSU or Aggie as a rival becuase at least those guys can give us a game.

why do people continue to post retarded shite like this

Because it's the obvious truth.

MiZzzouri is a wart on the shoulder of the SEC. Period.

The problem here is that you are like a man walking around with a gigantic booger hanging out of your nose. You can't see it. And are oblivious as to why everyone you come face-to-face with is simultaneously revolted by you and embarassed FOR you.

It's funny you say that because it seems to emanate from your side towards auburn just as much. Maybe you guys should leave as well

Bring back Tulane! Seems weird to me that they were ever in the SEC given how much they sucked over the years. Tulane in the west Vandy in the east.. each division gets a smart school. Why not?

Tex A&M has always belonged and i am sure Gene Stallings was big person in bringing them. I am sure Paul Bryant would wanted it no other way for his 1st program. Now when folks think of state of Texas it is no longer that liberal city of Austin but The Texas A&M Aggies in College Station. I think A&M is lesson to the media that just love telling someone 10 reasons why they cant do something. Hats off to A&M. I would say Kevin Sumlin deserves SEC and national coach of year honors considering all experts were saying they would struggle win 2-3 conference games.

I bet any modern day Bama fan cant answer this question correctly or any of Bama fans born 1985 or after sorry.

Legendary Coach Bear Bryant had only 1 ring on when he died besides wedding ring. His Junction Boys Ring of his First Team at Texas A&M.

Everyone who saw the ESPN movie "The Junction Boys" knows this bit of trivia.
