Mullen is a heck of a coach and could be at a better job if he wanted it. Guarantee you that LSU fans would trade Mullen for Orgeron or TAM Sumlin or 10rc Butch and even a lot of gators would trade MAC for him as well.

Which team offered him a job and said you are our number one choice?

None of us would ever know.

I was confident we were the better team, I still think we were the better team, but I guess that didn't mean anything.

It would be a massive disappointment for sure.

While it may be hard/impossible to confirm, there are usually plenty of rumors about being offered jobs and turning them down.

I recall plenty of hinted interest at Mullen, often early in coaching searches, but never rising to any significant level. Would be surprised if he'd turned away big 6 level interest, and I think we'd know about it.

Perhaps. We had the better score. That's all that matters and is why they actually line up and play the game.

We can suck together. I hate your coach. I wish nothing but the worst for his career.

I don't get it. Beating LSU is nothing to get excited about. No AD in the country is going to go bat shite crazy over beating LSU and start drawing up contracts for Mullen. If someone wanted him, they would have had him by now.

I would be mad AF if the Hogs hired Mullen. He's fine where he is. He fits that school. Win against a top 25 team every few seasons.

If Florida really wanted Mullen, they would get him. Do you bell clangers actually believe he wouldn't come back to Florida?

If you don't get why Mullen is an elite coach, then you are blind.

I only pray Florida offers after we fire Mac next year.

The fact that people here don't think Mullen has been offered big time coaching jobs is hilarious. Ha no, we've just upped his salary because he was doing such an excellent job winning the SEC every year. Sometimes I think this place is nothing but a bunch of college freshmen.

Fair enough. Which big time schools have offered him? Links?

It's possible that his agent has leveraged coaching searches for Mullen's benefit even without him getting an offer. That's what agents do or should do?

Who is his agent?

So Jimmy Sexton likes to negotiate contracts in the press? Who knew?
