He's got a weird delivery as well.
It's because he's a lefty but doesn't matter, continue whatever it is you're trying to do.

I don't know what you were watching. I've seen bad throwing motion, he doesn't have one. When he read it correctly, he delivered a snappy ball on a line with a quick release, and good touch on deep balls. I'm not riding the hype train, but he's got good mechanics. Better than Hurts. I'm just excited to see a QB play well in spring. McCarron looked bad in spring, Sims looked awful and so did Coker. Tua looked incredible in comparison.

The Hawaiian is a better QB. Reminds me of a more athletic Kellen Moore. Very good mechanics from what I saw. Not sure he has the natural arm strength to stretch the field like Kiffin wanted but its at least an average arm. Would rather see Hurts try and develop as a passer than see this kid take over.

He looked pretty inaccurate. He should have been picked at least two more times. I thought Mac Jones looked much better.
LSU fans forgot what decent QB play looks like

Thanks for the feedback on our backup qb.

When he was up against the 1's he looked like a freshman.
When he was up against the 2's he lit them up. By comparison he looked much better than Hurts did in last year's A-day.
Hurts will be the starter, he showed enough throwing it and his legs are still very much something teams will have to deal with.
Tua has a higher ceiling, sooner or later he'll pass Hurts IMO. I would love to see him redshirt this year, but that's unlikely.

Basically, if the season began right now with Tua as our starter, he would do well against 2/3 of the SEC, and might struggle against LSU and a few others. I'd take that.

As an early enrolle tua should be getting ready for his hs prom. Not throwing for 300 yards against some of the best DBs in college football
Let that sink in.

Imo, what Tua's performance does is to eliminate the possible nightmare of Hurt going down with an injury and Alabama having no good option, and if Hurt should continue to struggle with his passing during the season...guess what?

He throws a good fade, but most of those passes would have been called for a push off by the WR. Both he and Hurts threw the deep route well with wide open receivers. I didn't see him make the intermediate middle of the field throw, that is what differentiates QBs in today's game.

Tua looked great and was 12/18 until Saban took the restraints off of the defense. He is a terrific passer with an excellent arm. He is still too young to read the defense at the pace required in college. If you can't see the talent he has you need to quit watching football or be a better troll.
It is still jalens job to lose he was much calmer under pressure than Tua.

It takes a special level of shite posting, to unite Bama and Auburn fans. To temporarily put aside our hate, to laugh at a dumb op. I'm not sure if he should be embarrassed or proud.

AJ McCarron averaged like 2 picks a spring game throughout his career

but in truth, the stat line should probably read 2 TDs and 4 INTs.
So if we count all the worst case scenarios as INT's and say that all the best case scenarios don't count, then yea that is what his stats would look like.
I have hated every Bama QB since AJ McCarron and Tua is the closest thing I have seen to having a great pocket passer since him.

Tua looks like a talent.. and perfect for the modern Saban offense. Hurts is still Hurts. Bama will be good enough
