Will anyone really be shocked if Ole Miss gets smacked around with the NCAA hammer of justice in a couple of years from now? I remember thinking the same thing when Chizik came in as a 5-19 guy and suddenly they were picking up 5 stars who otherwise had no intention of ever attending Auburn.

Did AU get an NCAA hammer? They got a clean bill of health after their nearly two year NCAA colonoscopy.

Sounds like you would have figured out after the first time that your intuitions are shite...

The two are good friends and share info. This IMO is a dumb topic.

ETA: this is in reference to Malzahn not Chizik

By the way--I have not heard any news about where Chizik will wind up next season. What is the latest on this?

1. AU was cleared and didn't get even a nudge from the NCAA.
2. Since when can't AU ever recruit?

Hugh Freeze actually had a good record as a head coach before taking the Ole Miss job. Chizik was a 5-19 coach at Iowa State and the guy after him has done a much better job. No comparison.

Let's get down to business Sandman... Your head coach ran off some of his staff after winning a BCS bowl... We swooped in and robbed you of a bunch of prospects... You are mad about it and wanna bring a bunch of Ranters out of the woodwork to bad mouth Freeze... And it's working... But it doesn't change the fact that Golson , Tunsil and Morgan are Rebs... Be glad our staff was nice enough to let you have Kirkland.

That's it, you're right. I'm buttdevestated right now.

Half of Fisher's staff is gone - including Craig and Gran - and we're losing recruits left and right. So, to help keep my jimmies stable, I head to an SEC website and start badmouthing the coach I feel is most responsible, in hopes of russelling some jimmies to make me feel better.

You caught me.

He did hire Dan Werner from Miami who was the topic of Miami tv. The NCAA will be looking at them.

To much going on there...

Here's my thing about that:

Since 2007, we've had a spread team tear it up with a "freak of nature, once in a generation" QB every season but one:

2007 - Tebow
2008 - Tebow
2009 - Tebow
2010 - Newton
2011
2012 - Manziel

At this point, the argument could be made that the spread makes the quarterback about as much as the quarterback makes the spread.

Just today saw your response from a few days ago re: the post about our not warning y'all about Houston Nutt.

Back on topic...Gene Chizik reminds me of Nutt in some ways but Freeze can flat out coach. IMO, he's got more in common with Malzahn ...but better.

Why don't you provide links if you are going to ask for them?

Freeze instituted the hurry-up, no-huddle offense when he became the offensive coordinator in 2010 and continued with the play calling as the head coach this season. But it was Malzahn who was instrumental in creating the scheme, using it at Springdale High School, Arkansas, Tulsa and then at Auburn.

"We share ideas a lot and have shared ideas a lot through out the years," Malzahn said of his relationship with Freeze. "So it will be an easy transition offensively."

SandMan = Ultimate troll

Butthurt because Golson, Peyton Barber, and Elijah Daniel are inking with Ole Miss.
