Why show 2018 and 2019? Those kids will be evaluated a dozens of times more before they graduate.

Without counting those premature ratings the two states are even with Tennessee having double the population.

You apparently didn't look at the numbers I posted. The states are not even. And yes, population normally helps with AVAILABLE TALENT.

Because it's in the middle of the 2018 class? Tennessee will crush Mississippi in the 2018 class. and have a strong start on the 2019 class. Like I said, sorry about it bruh.

Tennessee is passing Mississippi in talent. DWI.

Except that you're wrong and that's already been proven.

Feel free to back that claim up with numbers though.

Meh, don't worry much about this, recruiting rankings are a popularity contest created for fans, not a reliable talent metric.

If it's per capita, well I've seen a lot of "Where does the NFL come from" kind of things.

Per HS FB participant is a much better metric and Florida and Georgia still finish #1 and #2

Outside of the Memphis area, I'd take a kid from the Mississippi any day of the week before a kid in TN.

Bring me a kid from Nashville or Knoxville before Memphis any day.

Middle TN talent is miles and miles better than Memphis trash.

I would like to see VOLS stop recruiting Memphis altogether. Atrocious football talent.

It's no joke. Everyone is convince Tennessee has no HS talent but we've literally been producing like crazy the past few cycles and have surpassed a lot of places.

In the past, the lol would've been appropriate but not anymore.

This 1000 times. I love some of the Memphis kids we've had over the years but we've also seen more busts from Memphis than should be possible. I disagree on stopping recruiting Memphis though.

We have the ability to be choosy and coaches need to do their due diligence with Memphis kids just like they do with out of state kids who are talented but come from rougher areas (Inky Johnson, for example, was passed over by just about everyone but Fulmer not just because he was a tad undersized but because he came from a part of Atlanta people don't like to recruit).

Dumbest shite I've read itt. The mid state has passed up Memphis for blue chip players over the last few cycles and has the NFL draft picks to prove it.

So like I said until somebody can come in here with numbers and prove me wrong -- Tennessee has passed up Mississippi and South Carolina in terms of available in state talent.

Except that you're wrong.

Your entire premise was to somehow prop-up Tennessee's (the state of) recruiting worth with your preconceived notions. Whereas, as many here are trying to explain to you, historically Alabama, South Carolina and definitely Georgia, Louisiana and probably Mississippi produce more NFL talent per capita than Tennessee ... this millenium.

I'm pretty sure the NFL put out a study on that last year or the year before - but time flies at my age.

Tennessee has been busting South Carolina's arse in blue chip recruits for a while now.

The word of the day is:

quote:

Available talent

South Carolina doesn't even have 5 players in the state rated 4* or higher. There's 4 4* and 0 5* in the entire state and it looks like Clemson is going to get them all.

Like I said, Tennessee is producing more talent than South Carolina and Mississippi.

Tennessee produced more talent this year, last year, the year before etc.

Tennessee has come a long way as far as instate talent.

That's what made Fulmer such a great recruiter, he had to go around the country to get the talent he got. While that's still the case, Jones has a much more fertile ground to pick from.

Brothers and sisters, when even TT9 tells you something positive about Tennessee you should listen.
