I would say there are more UK fans in Louisville. The state is all blue.

Kansas City is pretty neutral with kU campus like 30 minutes away, also large number of KSU & Neb fans. Don't worry though the Mizzou fans there represent and are on the frontline vs those terrorist bastards.

Is it sad that Vanderbilt is one of the most selective universities in the nation. Something like 3rd in a recent survey in regards to our SAT and ACT scores. This and the fact that Vanderbilt is now a national university with a geographically diverse student body. It is not sad, sad is someone who takes some kind of ignorant pride in statistics drawn from comparing apples and oranges. Congratulations, there are far more Tn grads than Vandy grads.

UT is the biggest fanbase in the Nashville area. Bama and Kentucky are probably bigger than Vandy.

How much time have you spent there?

UK has the dominate position and IU was second for decades. Since Knight left and the Hoosiers have fallen their numbers may have dropped enough for the Cards to pass them but maybe not. Just as Alabama is tops for per capita markets in football so is Kentucky in basketball. Not uncommon to see ND Gear there as well.

You seem so sure of yourself and the facts. If that is the case, try driving down the road in Nashville on any given day and count the UT car stickers to Alabama. It is close to being even. UT is getting challenged by the Tide in its own back yard and Tennessee is supposed to be the State's flagship.

I spend lots of time in Nashville and can agree to the Bama visibility

FWIW, nobody has mentioned who may be the real team for Nashville - The Blue Raiders of MTSU - as when rambling about town I am always running into them.

Miami and Ft. Lauderdale are definitely Gator. No other SEC team comes close.

I've seen a few Bama and Auburn stickers here but we see way more Big 10 fans than other SEC fans.

Lol, this thread isn't about the quality or standards of the education. It's about fanbase, and being in Nashville, vandy should have a stronger fanbase.

What do you think the % of bama, Georgia, or Tennessee fans actually attended the University?

I agree there are reasons why vandys fanbase is smaller, but it's strange for a vandy fan to talk shite about fanbase sizes within Nashville.

Jacksonville is mostly Gator, with a mix of FSU and UGA and of course Bama, Tennessee and LSU mixed in

I graduated from Vandy in 2011 and had maybe 1,600 in my class. Also, I think 30% of those students were from in-state.

Nashville also has a pro team. Yes you can be a fan of both pro and college but I believe it's safe to say your average 'NFL-first' fan is less inclined to follow college football than your 'college first' fan is inclined to follow the NFL.
